I'm not sure whats wrong as it changes the skin but he can still be hurt.

I know I'm missing something obvious I just don't know what that is. Help please!

A word of warning, I am also working on a mod that replaces the CJ model using the #SPECIAL01 models and opcode 09C7. Rebuilding the player is not the only way this occurs.

 

Watch changing your stats especially fat and muscle. For example as soon as you exit the fast food place your player looks like a pretzel again. So unfortunately you either must make sure the stats don't increase or decrease or lock out the devices that cause the increase or decrease.

 

I just went through a hair pulling stress over this and thought I would comment on it before some one else loses brain cells thinking about it.

But it has its bugs 1) Doesn't make him immortal but it says 'cheat activated' and changes the skin fine. 2) Skin change to cj isn't working at all.

So you can use it but its not that good considering the amount of bugs it has.

I had problems with that invincibillity opcode too. But instead I used the memory address of the invincibillity cheat...

 

0A8C: write_memory 0x96916D size 4 value 1 virtual_protect 0

 

The value (1) turns it on. If you want to turn it off change it to 0. That simple smile.gif

 

The 0x thing is the memory address. You can do nearly anything with memory addresses. The Virtual Protect should only be 1 if the game doesn't let you write the memory address without it on smile.gif

 

I've used that and the gravity address to control things in my CLEO Trainer. In which I've just finished the weapon select system biggrin.gif

The CJ_HALO thread will never get executed because nothing leads to that thread, unless you created it as a separate thread already. Now use the immunity opcode and you'll be all set with invincibility.

So far as long as I keep Frank out of the wardrobe closets I have my main.scm stripped of him gaining or losing weight or muscle. In fact, I shut the threads down for buying clothes too.

 

I assume by your thread name you have the Master Chief running around??

 

I was searching through looking for a solution to my own personal malfunctions and saw the all too familiar noodle man picture. Also if you save you will end up with a naked CJ when you reload. I use this as my save routine.

Sorry, yes you put that in your main loop (at least that is how I save games) the game is checking to see if your player has picked up any of the 40 save game icons. I am using the stat as a simple binary switch to tell the main loop that the game was saved and it needs to rebuild the model on reloading.

 

Frank Tenpenny is the character I replaced CJ with in my mod. My wip is almost complete and I should have the finished product out for download next month. It is my form of edutainment.

 

Well I have to get back to work. I am in Civics class and this teacher is really boring. I think the student next to me either passed out or died.

Type ANDR or HALO. Fiddle around with the code, I tried this code and it worked.

The problem was (if not all of it and just a part of the problem) that I had HALO for both parts which confused it. Thx for helping me though.
