I just hope that with the release of the SDK we get some good user-created content and hopefully down the road some official Valve campaigns as well. Thanks to Gametrailers TV they have had an exclusive on The DLC for left 4 dead, it was on the end of the Lost and Damned preview. http://www.gametrailers.com/gametrailerstv...ep=48&sd=1&ch=1 it shows the opened up levels in Versus. also it outlined the new game mode. You and your team will take part in just surviving waves and waves of zombies to set new high scores, this will happen across 12 different maps of witch i assume are new maps not sure though?? Due for release this spring, the DLC for 2008's best-selling new game property on the PC and Xbox 360, is dubbed the L4D Survival Pack and introduces a new multiplayer game mode entitled, Survival, plus two complete campaigns for Versus Mode (Death Toll, Dead Air). A Critic's Choice Edition of the game will be heading to retail stores this spring, and will include access to all the content introduced in the L4D: Survival Pack. If this was any other company you would be paying like 800 MS points on the xbox for two maps already in the game for versus. Also is there any word on a patch that makes versus mode more fair for the infected? It's impossible to kill someone even if your a tank. Pat Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 There was a patch for the PC version which buffed up the infected, and also patched the glitches like the generator in front of the elevator (level four), and the forklift in front of the warehouse exit (level three). It hasn't been released for the Xbox 360 yet, though (but for the generator and forklift, just have a pipebomb with you at all times and only use it when there's another near by). You can go into it in the third level, but the top of the hole is plugged up, so you don't get the, er, full illusion. oh rite thats cool allthough i did enjoy those glitches alot, never forget the first time i got to the top of the elavator and was like WTF. didnt mind in the end we just change our play style to incorporate the fact that the glitch exsited like making sure we found a pipe bomb before we triggered the elavator. I intended to get both Akimbo Assassin and the achievement for going through a whole campaign without healing. On about the second level I realized that it would be smarter to go for the latter when I had access to better weapons, so ended up only going for Akimbo Assassin. Pretty easy, made it to the finale, only used pistols and melee. Then the truck comes, I get onto the ramp, and a tank incapacitates me. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but my dumb as dogsh*t teammates decide to just let the thing kill me instead of kill it and then revive me. So I didn't get the achievement, because I didn't "survive the entire campain." i can highly beleive that, If it was computer controlled they can be a right arse, Your shooting then all of a sudden they run across your line of fire "hey stop shooting me" jesus you ran infront of me. I could never kill enough of the bastards the highest I got was about 20,000, then my sister and her reckless friends basicly decimated my DR disc. I was having a weird error with the game earlier, I couldnt get it to go past the loading screen or go on the harddrive and the game is in almost perfect condition but after like 50 tries I finally got that bastard to get on the HDD so I don't have to worry about it not starting up. I've been playing this game since early December, and I'll be goddamned if I haven't headshot a Hunter in the air at least ten times, just playing Versus. I only have maybe five achievements to go, and although getting 51 of 51 isn't that important to me, it's annoying when it just seems that one of them is virtually impossible to unlock. Its pure luck, I only got it when I stopped trying to get it really. Any advice on getting Cr0wnd? I try the tricks people posted online such as sneaking behind the bitch with an Auto Shotgun and unloading as soon as she turns round but it just never works and generally ends up with me on the flaw having my guts ripped out. I try the tricks people posted online such as sneaking behind the bitch with an Auto Shotgun and unloading as soon as she turns round but it just never works and generally ends up with me on the flaw having my guts ripped out. that's the way i got it. i haven't seen or heard of an easier way. just keep trying. adjust your timing. i was crouched when i shot her. speaking of achievements, i only need a couple moreto have all 1000 points. the main one i'm currently working on is beating every campaign on Expert. i need death toll, that shouldn't be too hard, but i also need blood harvest. it's pretty tough on expert. anyone wanna help? i've got some good players already, but sometimes not everyone is on. and you really need four people that are good at the campaigns...let me know and i'll add ya... Pat Posted March 2, 2009 Share Posted March 2, 2009 For Cr0wned, start up the fourth level of Death Toll, and keep restarting until the witch spawns in the alley between the gas station/convenience store and the warehouse behind it. If you walk up next to her, the game won't think you're beside her, because the open door is technically between you two. Then again, I could've just gotten lucky. But, that's how I got it. They were all pretty easy, I got most of them the first night I brought the game home. The Cr0wned achievement is one of 'em, along with the 53, some odd number acheivement and Man vs Tank along with a couple others. I'm also sick of playing with 10 years olds on Live.
