Digital Murders
@oysterbarron, you should make a list of people who have this on PC and those who have it on the 360 and throw it on the front page. 360 version over here. Sixdust
Oh man, yesterday I absolutely destroyed as a smoker. We had a runner on No Mercy Finale, right at the beginning. I never go to the roof first, I always attack at least once, and that was what my team was doing. So, I am standing near the shaft, and I pull Bill to the edge. One down. Then Louis comes to rescue him, big mistake, now Louis is dangling. Next, Zoey and Francis are coming together from fighting a Boomer horde, a hunter pounces Zoey and Francis shoots it off, but then, slurp, Francis down. Zoey sees this, and hides in one of the rooms. But she comes out and shoots in my direction, I hide and she can't see me. I guess she thought I ran away, because she attempted to pick one of them off the ledge. Bill falls because he has been there so long. My tongue becomes fully charged and I pull her ass off. One dead, three dangling. Instant win for infected. Then when the score came up, the boomer spawns from behind and just lets loose when the match is over. The poor noobs never even reached the ladder. RockstarFan
I've got the game on 360 but thinking of getting it for PC. However, I'm not sure if I'll be able to run the game. I've got a single core Intel 2.93GHz XFX Nvidia 8600 GT 2GB RAM. I checked the requirements and the minimum for processor is 3GHz. But I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that someone with a 2GHz processor was able to run it with no problem.

Tchuck
There's also the butt naked zombie near the Boomer. I had no idea they had that kind of detail I haven't played with you in a while sonny. I still play quite a bit, but it's not as much fun with randoms who run into the witch flicking their light, trigger the horde, try to pistolwhip the tank, leave you hanging by a smoker and try to make love to the nearest hunter. Noone plays a better Louis then me! Being the tank bait, running through friendly molotovs, and all that jazz!

Master of Pain.
What do people think of the survivors hiding in the cupboard while waiting for the elevator on the hospital stage of no mercy? It's a good tactic and keeps you safe but it seems a bit lame, I try and avoid doing it, I'd rather hole up at the end of the long corridor looking down to the elevator. Pat
You can hide in the cupboard? I so have to try that next time I play Versus.
Mr.Mister
I'm borrowing this game from a friend and savingit onto my harddrive. I played the demo and it was ok. How long is this game? It looks very short and very repetative.

You're obviously not playing versus, are boring, or are playing on the 360 and don't get the full experience due to joysticks (no not a fanboy statement, I bet I can jump up walls faster with my mouse than you with a 360 controller, due to the sensitivity)

You just need to get a feel for it. Hell, I use my old PS2 controller to play some PC games, because I can actually play better with it. Just throwing that out there. They've made it pretty much impossible to survive on any of the levels, the only level anyone plays is No Mercy (and I actually quite like Blood Harvest, unlike everyone else), and then there's all the glitches that can be done as an Infected. Plus, so many people just melee-spam when you're a Hunter, that it's impossible to get near them. I swear, I was a hunter against the last survivor once, and he had backed into a corner, and all he was doing was melee-ing. I was the only special infected that was even near him, and he didn't even try to shoot me. f*cking coward. And yes, I'm playing the (inferior) Xbox 360 version, but it's not the controls, it's just the game. I honestly just can't get into it. The source engine supposedly makes it different every time, but I honestly can't find a single difference whenever I play the campaigns or versus. It's always the same tactics, the same special infected spawn points (when you're in Campaign, at least), etcetera. At least it's still worth quite a bit on eBay, wink wink. Well, it's not the source engine per say but the 'AI Director' they've implemented. Admittedly, zombie wise, it's not that different each time but I've noticed the special infected do tend to spawn differently each time I load up a game. Also weapon spawns are usually different for me each time as well, which can make it harder/easier sometimes. I think this game could have a lot more replayability if it just had some more campaigns. The four campaigns I beat the first time it came out and, although a blast to play through, it DOES get boring after a while.
Pat
I meant the AI director, but I still stand by what I said: it always seems the same.

Yeah the Xbox 360 version has only been patched once or twice for glitches, also rebalances as well have not been done. In the PC version, lots of rebalances and edits have been made. Like recently, they changed the whole look of the infected HUD, they buffed the smoker, they changed the way the tank takes damage when he is on fire, and they got rid of alot of those game breaking exploits. As for the hunter, you can still get them in two ways, even if they melee spam. First way, is the best when a horde is around. If someone has a part of them exposed, stand there and use the claw attack. It is very effective, doing about 10 damage a swipe. The second way, is to pounce from above. If the survivor is against any wall (which is what is causing you problems with melee spam) jump over them, and then the wall will guide you down right on top of them, so in essence, its like you are falling from above. Here is the exact name of my processor according to Can you run it? Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.93GHz. Everything else is a pass, its just the CPU. I keep reading a bunch of mixed opinions on whether or not the processor like mine would run the game. wuzzy
I was hoping for more campaign maps too, but all is not lost, the SDK might hopefully instigate a plethora of goodies for us.....and if Valve adds more DLC on ongoing basis we should be golden. OysterBarron
Anyone heard about the new Left 4 Dead DLC?, well it's pretty sh*t. I was expecting a couple more campaign maps but no it's two versus maps and a survival mode. still going to be good updated the first page but il post it here If anyone's going to profit from a zombie apocalypse, it may as well be Valve. Today, the Left 4 Dead publisher announced the first content expansion for Turtle Rock Studios' survival horror shooter, saying that the PC and Xbox 360 downloadable content will be available this spring. Dubbed the Left 4 Dead Survival Pack, the add-on will include the titular multiplayer mode as well as two full campaigns for the Versus mode. Valve did not reveal details on what gamers can expect from Survival mode or the two campaigns, and it didn't provide pricing information. However, the game maker did say that the DLC would come packed in with the reissued Left 4 Dead: Critic's Choice Edition, which is expected to hit retail shelves this spring. Valve also delivered good news for PC owners of the shooter. The publisher said that, beginning this spring, those who purchased the desktop edition of Left 4 Dead can download the game's software-development kit. The free mod-making tool will let gamers create their own custom levels and campaigns, which can then be distributed through Left 4 Dead's online matchmaking system. they are still be scketchy about the info we can still hope that you can play these new levels in campain mode. Inky
I personally don't like versus as much as most people, so I'm not too excited about the DLC. I just hope that with the release of the SDK we get some good user-created content and hopefully down the road some official Valve campaigns as well.
