Simon.
Check out this exploit that is rampant at the moment. Its a really nasty one that I have experienced. Yep. My friend has his own server and made me an admin. You do that = insta-ban It's lame when there's 2 people exploiting it ... you can't votekick. It takes the fun out of the game when you're infected. Trows
PC. It's no competition really (you get to play with me ) No dough this post will get questions and and maybe even some fighting.

Sixdust
I know this has probably been asked in here so many times, but should I get this for PC or 360? You would be insane to buy a Valve game for console. Not only is it more expensive on console, but updates are lacking, and there will be no mods for it on consoles. There is a DLC pack coming out this week, guess who gets it free, and who has to pay for it. (Hint Hint Microsoft servers means Microsoft policy)

So you would prefer to pay $20 extra for the vastly inferior version? And what happens if there are more campaigns or other things added? Another fee to pay for what PC gamers get for free. Lets not forget that the PC version gets mods and other user created content.
Pat
No offense Sixdust, but you're giving off a bit of a fanboy-ish vibe. Some of us don't have PCs that can handle Left 4 Dead (I know, you have to be on an incredibly slow rig to be in that category, but I'm running a refurbished Dell from '03. Cut me some f*cking slack), and have friends on the Xbox 360 that have the game. Has it been confirmed that the content will cost any Microsoft points? If so, has it been confirmed how much? I've got eight hundred right now, so I'm hoping it'll be in that area.

I've got eight hundred right now, so I'm hoping it'll be in that area. Only two Valve games as of recent have come out this generation for consoles. The Orange Box which is 5 games in 1 and Left 4 Dead. I think I can safely say that Valve makes great games, that don't require 1337 computers and have tons of replayability due to Valve's support of custom created content. The reason I say on the PC is because if Papanesta is asking which version he should get, he must have both a PC (that should be able to run the game) and an Xbox 360 (that should be able to run the game). I have two friends with the console version, and I own the PC version along with another friend. In terms of bug fixes thus far, the PC version has been patched up much faster. When I visit my friends with the 360 versions, well lets just say that the exploiting is a bit higher, one of them doing it himself. As with the orange box, lets give another example. The PC version gets a f*ckton of major updates. Maps, weapons, class balances, game play modes and more. Meanwhile the 360 version and the PS3 version, have no updates and half as many people in a server. Valve is a PC developer first. The latest example was as of recent when we were at my friends house. I had my laptop, my other friend had his, and my friend was the one with the PS3. He also owns a gaming PC and two secondary PCs that are for internet use only. He has the PS3 version of the Orange Box because he believes PS3 is superior to PC or whatever, and he just sat there playing TF2 with only a few maps, and was dealing with a sentry that was under the map that couldn't be destroyed. We were sitting in the background playing custom content servers, I playing regularly, and my other friend trying to get some achievements (132 achievements for PC at the moment). I was playing with new weapons in a Arena mode, while the friend with the PS3 asked me when it was coming for PS3, I had to tell him that at the moment, never. (Valve used EA for the PS3 port). Now the moral is, is that the 360 version is getting all the content updates, months later, at a cost, without custom content. I am sorry but Source games are enjoyed best on PC. I own two computers. My desktop and my laptop. My desktop runs Team Fortress 2 well and Left 4 Dead well. Guess what, the desktop is almost 6 years old. P4 2.4ghz, 1gb ram, 6800gt 512mb ram. I have updated the computer twice, once for $30 for the ram, and another time, $60 for the graphics card. My other computer, the laptop, runs the game great, maxed out. If I come out as a PC fanboy, well too bad. Fact is fact. @angrybanana5000: I paid $400 for the console, $50 to play online, $60 for the game. I think I can risk 20 bucks for an extra map or two. So you paid $400 for a game machine + $50 a year for the ability to play online and extra money per new released title + extra money for DLC. I take it that you don't own a computer or rather, don't have one in your household (but wait, how did you write this, the 360 has no browser), so rather than having two or three machines to do two or three different things,(gaming machine, home computer, Work computer) I have two machines that excel at all. I don't need two machines, but I have two. My desktop atm is probably worth $200 max, and my laptop is worth a lot more than that. A new PC that can play Left 4 Dead is less than $450.00, or a used one is even less than that. But wait, you can use the computer for homework and work as well. I am not having this argument, but if you want to start, then whatever. Edited January 13, 2009 by Sixdust
Digital Murders
I am not having this argument, but if you want to start, then whatever. I'll just keep looking like a snoody asshole. You forgot to put that at the end there. I've been dying to play this game again. My 360 took a sh*t so it's being repaired at the moment. What does the new content consist of? jelly
http://steamgames.com/tf2/goldrush/ http://steamgames.com/tf2/pyro/ http://steamgames.com/tf2/heavy/ ^ PC, pushed to clients via Steam, no charge, obviously. -> http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/54351 360. No reason to think it'll be different for L4D.. The game runs on Dups old S939 AMD, it might be updated but its still the same Source engine at heart. It runs on cheap hardware. Pat
This thing's RAM is so bad, that there have been times where I haven't been able to have FireFox and My Documents open at the same time. A simple reboot fixed it, but still. The only other option I have is a Compaq which gets BSODs on YouTube. Believe me when I say there is no way I will be able to run this game on any of my PCs. Edit: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/56767 Fixed propane tanks (and other physics objects) causing players to fall through elevators. Oh hell no. That glitch was f*cking great with friends. Guybrush Threepwood
There's also the butt naked zombie near the Boomer. I had no idea they had that kind of detail I haven't played with you in a while sonny. I still play quite a bit, but it's not as much fun with randoms who run into the witch flicking their light, trigger the horde, try to pistolwhip the tank, leave you hanging by a smoker and try to make love to the nearest hunter.
