Left 4 Dead: Crash Course is targeted for release in September and will be available free of charge on the PC and for 560 Gamer points on Xbox Live.

 

Those money grabbing little bastards at MS. I could easily see Valve releasing this for free on all platforms as a way to placate fans angry over such a fast sequel. Chances are MS only managed to slap a pricetag on this piece of DLC because it's actually largely new content, whereas 90% of he last piece they gave us was just reworked existing content.

Sounds like it will be good DLC for the PC users since I won't have to pay for it. I haven't played L4D in like a month or two though because my graphics card sh*tted out on me and I've only ordered a new one like yesterday. So hopefully by the end of the week I'll be able to set it up and play. One thing I really hate about some of the PC users is the fact that say, if you haven't played one of the survival maps and are playing it right away and the whole team does a terrible time one of them will be like 'oh you f*cking noob, we could of done better without you' and go to kick. sh*ts f*cking retarded right there, but then again you get it in a lot of other PC games.

So the 4 campaigns aren't stand alone stories after all. I had speculated before that the chopper at the end of No Mercy crashes, and they wind up near riverside at the start of Death Toll, then the boat crashes and they wind up near the start of Dead Air, etc.

 

 

Glad to hear of some new DLC, should be buying this.

I really would get L4D for PC, if mine could run it. Simply because of the insane maps they got out there. But I'm contempt with it on 360 for now, and I have no desire to upgrade my PC at this moment anyway.

Ohh, they finished the Silent Hill level, i'd read about that, looked pretty good.

 

If i had L4D on PC, i'd play custom maps most of the time, i have considered getting the PC version a few times, i'll do with the 360 version for now though.

Damn, that Silent Hill map looks intense. I've only played one custom map so far and I wasn't too impressed. I was hoping by now Valve would have more campaign levels released and the news of the Crash Course campaign is good but as a few mentioned this is probably it until L4D2 is released and it's not much either.

 

I'm surprised Valve has gone this way almost. The game's only been out for a year and they're releasing a new version that could probably just be classified as an expansion. I wish they took this kind of initiative with their other titles *cough*Episode 3*cough*

When I finally got past the first level, The second level is pitch black.

I got scared and quit

Fighting hunters on that level is hectic,especially when it jumps towards you screaming out of the darkness.

Have you guys also tried "Heaven can Wait" or "Death Abroad"?,I highly recommend both of them,especially Death Abroad because there is a part where you have to fight zombies through a destroyed ship,which is pretty intense.

I bought Left 4 Dead today, and I f*cking love it.

 

It's such an awesome game - I had my doubts at first, with Valve being the makers of CS:S and all (and I hate CS:S), but I have to say, this is now one of my favorite games.

 

I'll definately be getting L4D2

cool man. glad ya like it. when it starts getting a little boring or repetitive, (and it will eventually), try getting some of the harder achievements in the game. it will breath new life into it. and possibly make you rip your hair out. and don't forget to download the free Survival pack.
