OysterBarron
By the way what do you guys think of the recharge limit on being able to melee now I think I'm damn lucky to have already gotten "What Are You Trying To Prove?". I mean, Expert... with limited melee... holly sh*t. Melee fatigue is only in Versus and Survival mode, last time I checked. You can still melee spam in Campaign. And yeah, it's a bit of a pain to get used to but with some good teamwork, it shouldn't be that much of a problem. yeah i noticed that, i did find myself going to help my team mates out more because of the limited melee! ok i want to update the original topic a bit witch requires some input from you guys/girls. I need some good stratigies tp survive the different survival maps if possible? also if you found any glitches post them or even better post a video. On the hospital level ontop of the hospital you can barricade yourself into the radio room building using a wall of flame at each window and front doors, make sure you have plenty of gas cans and molotovs between you and you should be able to fend off the first waves of attacking specials and horde, obviously move out once the first tank spawns. Also i have notcied that if you kill everything and the tank quickly there is a short 10-15 sec period where you only get a few horde bothering you and no specials or tanks spawn, But make sure your prepaired for when they do spawn though, i remember seeing 3 or 4 smokers + hunters jumping about, we got raped that round but thats just because panic set in. blitsie
Survival mode is hectic,I always end up getting raped by a tank or hunter (or both). The new light house map is fun,but new campaign maps would've been nice. oh well,I'm just thankful that the DLC is free.
VCRules86
I remember playing this the other day and one of my teammates got killed and it was just me left at the top of the lighthouse and I wanted to run just to gtet a few extra secs of time. So I take a running leap off of the lighthouse and wind up killing myself when I hit the ground, splat!

Rebel
Finally hopped back on this today after getting my PC back a couple days ago. Tried out the new Survival mode, on Dead Air. I think my best time so far is about 12/13 mins, can't remember though. I found the best way to stay near the desk at all times and get those cocktails at the ready when you hear/see the tank and then shoot like crazy at it with the machine gun. I'm liking it so far only having played that. Although I think I'm going to hop on single player and get through it getting some achievements in the process. Playstation_Loyalist
Do you need to login to Steam just to get the DLC? Or you'll get it somewhere in the net? Please, if there's on the net, can you guys give me a link? Please.
manofpeace
A couple days ago, I found, for the first time, a commentary mode! It was pretty neat listening to how they made the game, and watching as you make a Tank spawn as many times as you want, but sucked that you can't finish the campaign afterwords. Rebel
Do you need to login to Steam just to get the DLC? Or you'll get it somewhere in the net? Please, if there's on the net, can you guys give me a link? Please. You just log into Steam and then L4D should update itself - if it doesn't just go to the games panel and update it yourself and then when its done the new Survival mode is done. So next time you play, you'll have it all done and dusted.

BigNekkidSnake
Recently I can't get enough of this game on online co-op ( I used to play offline due to not having XBL gold and the idiots on XBL) and recently got bored of normal mode and moved on to playing the sh*t out of advanced till I can get through it every time before I go on to Expert. Any one want to play sometime (Usually I'm on later on in the night ) my gamertag is in my profile.
Gouveia
My Steam stopped being gay and finally logged in and, holy sh*t, the new Survival Mode is too damn awesome. I got a Bronze Medal on The Last Stand's Lighthouse map, and I got, in both times, constricted by a Smoker and then got my ass kicked by a Tank. Shiiit! And in both times the first Tank spawned at about 0:45 and the second at 2:00.
Pat
Got a gold medal last night on Survivor, on Death Toll. No glitches involved. Hard as sh*t, but it felt great.

Pr0xy_fl00d3r
Zoe goes naked It was only a matter of time before someone would replace Zoey with a nude female body. Today, we bring you Nude Zoey. This is not a skin, this is a completely new model for Zoey. She has some clothes on, but hardly enough to cover anything at all. This model was created by zaigo with the help of Shilo's Tutorial on getting custom models to work in Left 4 Dead. This replacement model might lack some facial animations, but let's face it, facial animations are the last thing you'll be staring at. You will also notice that her "lovelies" bounce when she runs or walks and Francis, Louis and Bill can't stop staring. Now get your tissues out, lock the door, download the mod and enjoy, you pervert. How awesome

DemonKing
Sorry for the bump. But I recently picked this up for 360, and it's a great game. Really digging the whole style of it, and I now have 38 of the achievements just got some toughies left to pick up really. If anyone wants help or wants to help me add me on XBL, I'd be more than happy to help you. All in all awesome game, I've had it about 2 weeks plus now and I'm still really enjoying it, you can make some good XBL mates on here, but also run into some mental kick happy chav women , which is annoying but expected in replacement for the twerpy 12 year olds you would expect on Halo. Bartleby
I've noticed a severe drop-off in activity since L4D2 was announced, at least on the PC side. My Steam friends never seem to want to play, and there seem to be less people on it in general. Not that I'm that excited about the money grab either. The least Steam can do is delay it a year and make good on their promise of more DLC for this one.
Slamman
I looked over Xbox Official Magazine this evening, and I feel Dead Rising two is looking to run one up on this one, but not by much! I think the location is more interesting but the graphics are not too snazzy compared to having it on PS3. The background looks better then the characters, but I am not gonna slight it too much, until we see everything playing out in realtime. I do think this game looks more impressive then the first review I saw of it!

But you can't compare Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead on the basis they have zombies, they're two very different games, l4D is so MP orientated, whereas DR is very much single player orientated. It's like Chalk and Cheese just because you can eat both doesn't mean you should compare them. Edited July 18, 2009 by DemonKing

Duke Nukem
All I have to say is, Valve will always stick to their promises. Always. Comments on this guys? I'm completely stunned, new dialogue? Looks like Valve have outdone themselves on this DLC, excellent. Can't argue with you there! I never hesitated when I heard of L4D 2 simply because I've never doubted Valve. Everyone automatically assumed #1 was getting canned, which I found to be quite hilarious. Definitely looking forward to this, and what get's me even more excited is they're releasing it free for PC as with pretty much all other amazing updates they pump out. One thing I'm definitely hoping for, is owners of both 1 & 2 will be able to link both games together, and select any campaign from either including custom maps. Here's to Valve once again. Minic
Despite the fact that i'm gonna have to pay to get the new campaign, i really don't mind, it's fresh content and will bring new life to the game, i wonder if they'll release a few more campaign DLc to bridge the gaps between the other campaigns, try and make the whole thing seem whole.
