Wow, this is sad news. I know I was a terrible contributor, but I have too much school going on right now. I was happy to get one lot done and can't wait for that version to be released. Thanks to all who worked on this great mod.

Gosh ....i was not expecting about something like this ....After all if it had to finish like this ...

 

So, i thinks, if we stop considering the game, it was, for me a good thing, to work with talented poeple and other with less skills ...but i'm realling happy, as french to say, the modding community in this world i really impressive .

 

I enjoy every moment passed with all the Spannish , Belgium, Greec...ect people ! it's so AWESOME !

No, and no models, and no, you can't continue the work

 

the reasons why the mod died are stated in the post anyway, gostown dev wasn't a waste of time, all the team know that they've meet new awesome people, got experience in team-working and in all this gaming dev techonology... I have to say, it was awesome, you're invited to enter my profile and check all the gostown IRC quotes (though, there are different quotes from other IRC channels, but if you identify angel, pinky, paroxum, karol or me, thats gostown)

Big shame, really is... I have never played on any versions of GP, but I know that when the next release is out, I'll HAVE to download that, I really wanna play it . I admire the sheer amount of work all the members have put in, it's truly astounding and pretty humbling. A group of people make a game "map" (Don't forget all the coding and cars etc...) that is better than many other games have out there, and they've done it for free. It's staggering, really. Great work guys, I don't think the modding scene will be the same without the ol' GP team together . With the GP team going apart, it does beg the question though: Who's gonna fill their "boots"? Could it be possible for a new modding team prowess to come to light? I sure hope so, I don't want big team modding to end!

I think you misinterpreted what I said, and I never will be surprised by conceit, I win the games I play, from well thought out strategy, and that's why I haven't begun to play yet.

There is a casual topic for TC ideas, anyone needing to fill the gaps left by death of gostown, or looking to add their talents to something new, that's a prime place to begin.

I'm not advertising anything.... Unless, waitaminute... would it still be advertising if I didn't write the idea topic? Or would it then just be sharing with the community (cause that's all it was). You guys are killing this topic right now anyway, it has high traffic, what's wrong with shedding light that though gostown might go the same place every other TC did, it's not like new TCs can't be made.

 

I was just saying 'well if you're done here, I'm sure there will be some people who want to fill the gaping hole gostown will leave' (because GP is THAT seriously big deal for modding ) and 'no need to be sad! let's get working and show what we learned from this great core team'

 

Much respect, I just want it to not hit so hard! (cause personally, I thought this will be the only mod to ever finish out of all started so far)

ou sh*t, thats really sad news, but i absolutley understand everyone of the gostown team. once upon a time i spent my whole life the gta modding scene, but if you plan something big one day will come and then you give up. as you said the tools and all the complicated stuff to get a high quality of a mod in sa....its a waste of time...nowadays i'm playing guitar there you don't need to care about game crashes n stuff but anyways..GREAT MOD i love you guys!!

Its really sad news that Ghosttown has stopped. And i would like to thank you all for the GREAT work you guys did! And so i hop it will come back to life the screens and everything where just fantastic. But i still want to ask 1 thing: Can you guys upload the latest version (the not released one with more cars etc...). So the people can really see what you all have done to this great mod.
