Yep, new island. Its name is kelala (like G7's island, but this one is smaller) and is one of RC4's new things. That plane is pinky's Hydra II.

It is that hawt it looks staged but it is in fact in game shots, you can see the birds in one pic and the Dodo and Titan spawns in another.

Yeah tjone, the old style 3D grass from SA is looking bad here. But there's nothing we can really do about that. Maybe put less alpha to it, so it's more descreet.

Me and alpha's (especially clipmaps in rendering)... No good combination xD

Looks great in game, just didn't like that part of the ramp going off the cliff. IMO it would look better if you added some supports in it. Something like this:
