Being able to make polls isn't really a "luxury."

 

It's just as easy to get in touch with a staff member and request to have one added to your topic, and I also think this was a bad idea. I'll give it a few days before this "luxury" gets removed.

That's true, but still, some people don't have patience. I've never felt inclined to make a poll, and this doesn't make me want to.

When there's 30 topics of polls in one section in a couple days, you'll see that's a lie.

What's the big obession with polls anyway? Granted, you can see who likes or believes what at a glance but most polls I've seen aren't really all that serious, with the usual comedy answers. They're great fun to read, and they're usually at the topic starter's expense. I don't think polls should be as acessible as they are now, it's really not hard to discuss two or more options without one. Like many have said, if it's poll-worthy, a mod will fix it... and usually add an option that everyone will vote for, calling the topic starter a douche. icon14.gif

There's been 6 polls locked in the past day or so, and gaming chat isn't exactly the most active part of the forums. I say we remove it!

For the moment, you could create a new poll, go to the existing topic, and use the merge option.
