Abusing/misusing polls and/or making pointless polls just for the hell of it WILL result in a 24hr ban as well as your poll being deleted.

That used to be how it was done. And personally, I preferred it that way.

 

Many of the members just can't be trusted with the option of making polls, and it's not that hard to find a moderator or administrator that's online (and not hidden).

Think of it as a way to prove a point. If people are sensible with them then all's gravy. If they're not (which to be fair they don't seem to be) it's just reiterating our point as to why members aren't allowed to post them in the 1st place and the option will simply be removed.
