Vercetti21
“I won’t spend it all at once.” Great Joker line to end the chapter on. I really liked it. The chapter itself is very exciting, however I couldn't help but feel like I was in the "Batman & Robin" universe rather than Nolan's at times. Not sure why, either. Perhaps it is the characterization of the Riddler - while dark and zany, certain lines like "you can call me... The Riddler!" just seems a bit too elementary. If you notice, Nolan pays a great attention to the motives of his characters: just look at all the reasons Batman wears the costume he wears from Begins, or The Joker's thirst for anarchy in TDK and describing him as a mad dog... so why The Riddler all of a sudden? Just nitpicking, I suppose. Other than that I really liked it.
The Unvirginiser
Thank you for the feedback Something about this chapter irked me, probbaly because it's very similar to the Bane creation in Batman and Robin. The sentence where The Riddler announces himelf wasn't meant to be exclamated as Jim Carey saying it. But in a quiet tone, with his calculated and preise voice... with an elegant bow. Which reminds me that I should be mroe descriptive. The Riddler does not wear a costume, basically he has a smart green suit and uses his specialy enhanced cane as a deadly weapon.. capable of all kinds of ill sh*t. A lot more will be explained about him, his obsession with puzzles and giving his victims the potential to save themselves. Just feel sorry for Bruce Wayne, he doesn't have a lot of luck at birthday parties.
Vercetti21
yes, but I'm saying there wasn't a lot of depth as to why he picked the name, or does the things he does.
