kingvercetti
Very High: http://www.isarapix.org/pix58/1221844198.png High: http://www.isarapix.org/pix94/1221844242.png Medium: http://www.isarapix.org/pix72/1221844252.png All tests were run on Vista x64, a stock Q6600, 4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2/800 and a 4870 at 1440x900x60Hz running on Catalyst 8.8 (not sure if 8.9 will increase performance). The benchmarks aren't entirely accurate though: when I'm playing I get 5-10fps more. A little too low for my liking, but then again Crysis does fail at ATI. I'm with you on that, however, every other game runs perfectly maxed out, and Warhead will have better optimization. Crazymodder, I though you built your PC? Except World in Conflict which is also NV biased. But yeah 99% of games run smashingly.

Picolini
Crazymodder, I though you built your PC? i buy the specs, and built it. why its not built? He is confused by when you said "because it's 2nd hand." Elanman, by that he meant if he were to sell it to you it'd be cheaper because it'd be a second hand PC, used. He did buy it new for more than $3,200 USD.

Nomad91
Sarcasm, look it up. Speaking of bragging how about posting your specs to prove you aren't bragging? C2QX9650 3.0GHz 2x (SLi) XFX 9800GX2 CoolerMaster Real Power Pro 1250W CoolerMaster COSMOS S 8GB DDR3 2000MHz Seagate SATA 7200RPM 32MB(buffer) 750GB(space) Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit thats all my specs. my crysis crashed on higher settings due to low PSU I can't believe you are proud of your specs. "Hi I can play Crysis and my PC laughs at it. I spent all my money on a PC to play a video game that will look like rubbish in 2 years." BTW, I'm not saying Crysis is bad, but building a PC with that much hardware is just stupid. 4GB of Ram is enough for anything right now, and at 2000MHz, you probably spent at least $300 dollars for 4GB you will never use. Unless of course you're running "Windows Vista 64 bit: Super-Uber-RAM-Hog Home Edition". Even you have to realize what a poorly formed argument you have spawned. The only benefit you gain from having such a PC is having the ability to brag. So I ask you, what was all of that for? Also, Future-proofing is not a valid reason, because it's an oxymoron. My specs own anyways.

Anyways in a way you are absolutely right! I'm constantly trying to find the next big thing to add to my rigs but it seems technology moves so quickly I can't never keep up. Why do I do it it keeps me alive! I just love these things it's my hobby and I make good money from it. But I'm NO! bragger if I was man! Perhaps they're wealthier than yours? Perhaps so, but where I'm from, spend $3000 dollars at once for your son is a bit out of control. Unless he lives in a bare room with nothing else, and his life is terrible, nothing warrants that spending.

poopskin
With my rig, my computer would probably be reduced to the consistency of chunky salsa the second the setup disk touched the disk drive's CD tray thing. Either that or the game would get such low FPS, it'd be in the negatives and i'd have to play the game backwards.

OT: Runs smoothly on all settings low, 1024x768, maybe 30fps -OR- Medium-low, 800x600, 25fps-ish ballparking FPS's, btw

My specs own anyways. I'm very suspicious about that '8 gigs of DDR3'. Furthemore, having 2 9800GX2s is a waste, you'll get the same performance out of one due to crap SLI drivers. Star-Lord
I've been playing around with NVIDIA BIOS Editor 4.6 over clocked to around 750-800mhz on the core and FPS have jumped. But the results are extremely high on Xp pro but not the same on Vista ultimate: Crysis results: Ran tests on the Xp partition from my dual boot (Vista/Xp) Minimum FPS: 33 at frame 161,maximum FPS: 90 at frame 110 Average Tri/Sec: 70440912, Tri/Frame: 999306 Recorded/Played Tris ratio: 0.97 DX9 1280x1024 AA=N0 AA, 32Bit test, Quality: High~~ last Average FPS: 70.70 Also have been using the EVGA Precision tool w/ ForceWare 178.15 drivers which I've been able to stay stable at the following settings. Will try to climb higher until I start to see artifacts on the screen. Core clock-760 Shader clock-1480 Memory clock 1260 Fan speed 100% I will be trying the Crysis WARHEAD Benchmark Tool BETA 0.29 as well as SmartFPS v1.9 next. I just have a question for the over clockers in here, When you have dual Cards (SLI) are you over clocking both or just one at a time? How does it work? Furthemore, having2 9800GX2s is a waste, you'll get the same performance out of one due to crap SLI drivers. well, 8Gigs of DDR3 is better, due to my OS-bit that im using and the support of my motherboard. after that, having 2 9800GX2s have better fps than a single 9800GX2. btw, im soon changing these both to dual SLi GTX280. if you are asking why do you throw away that 2 9800GX2? well, my answer is, i love saving powers, so using a single gpu is better. and other question about what will i do with the 2 9800GX2? the answer is, i will sell it for US$280 each.
