When the goalie kicks it out of his hands, you can position your players to get infront of him. This cuases the ball to be given to the striker with the goalie on ze floor. Ergo a goal. Have to share them with you guys. 1st match: versus Real Madrid on legendary difficulty: They scored in the second minute, through Benzema, and then Ronaldo hit the post, I was pretty pissed off at this point, but then, with our first shot on target, Henry smashes it into the top corner! Then, after a while, midway through the second period, van Nistlerooy scored from them after Puyol miscontrolled a pass to Guti. With 5 minutes to go I went on the offensive, and Xavi turned and shot on the edge of the box, and we had had two shots, and two goals scored. We couldn't ram home the advantage though, and penalties were on the cards right from the start of extra time. I had never won a penalty shoot out before, against a team with one of the higher diffeiculties, but when Messi scored, and Guti's was saved, things were looking up for me, then Henry put his right in the corner, before Ronaldo's was tipped around the post by Valdes. Xavi's penalty was cheekily chipped down the middle, meaning that benzema needed to score, but his was easily saved by Valdes, cue massive celebrations all around the room by me, and on the screen by the team... Second epic match: Playing some random guy online, he was Swindon Town, I was Accrington Stanley, he scored after less than 2 minutes, before I equalised on the hour, his captain got sent off for an off the ball hack at my striker, but apart from that, nothing much happened before extra-time. He scored after 3 minutes of extra time, before I equalised after 9. I had a player sent off for a last man challenge that went horribly wrong, and he scored the resulting penalty kick. I equalised in stoppage time, to make the score 2-2. But then from the kickoff, his striker lost the ball, and a hopeful punt up the pitch left me with only the keeper to beat, he committed, and I went round him after a dummy and put the ball in the net. I just started a new season with Everton in Manager mode and so far i wrote down all your suggestions for good players. Ive got around 17M to spend so i might try for Forlan and Balotelli Mario. chris Posted August 27, 2009 Share Posted August 27, 2009 Holy sh*t im on form right now, i have just been playing manager mode with Everton and developed a great formation with matching tactics that really suit my style of play. So after playing like 8 10 minute matches i decide to have a quick online match. I pick Everton he picks Barcelona, i pause the game and see he has 50,000+ XP compared to my miserable 9,000, so i think sh*t im going to get my ass kicked. To save you all the boring story he had a total of 2 shots on goal both off target compared to my 19 shots 14 of which where on target and 5 of which went in. Yakubu and Cahill both got two and Arteta popped up to squeeze one in, i got a message from the guy afterwards just saying "Wow". I picked Wycombe Wanderers as my team (League Two) and put the playing difficulty on Professional. It's brilliant how realistic and challenging the lower leagues are when playing on Pro. I'm nearing the end of the transfer window and I've signed two Cardiff City players; Gerrard plays for Warsaw on 09, but he's a new City signing, and Burke. 3minty3 Posted August 31, 2009 Share Posted August 31, 2009 Just had a 2 great games online. 1st game: Im playing as chelsea and my friend is liverpool. He plays fantastic and by the 76th minute he is 4-0 up. I make a sub (anelka on for drogba). In the 79th minute anelka scores to make it 4-1 (still not hopeful of a win). In the 86th another anelka goal, in the 88th an other anelka goal (i feel very hopeful at this point). Now in injury time it is lampard going forward with only one defender and the goalie that could do anything. Lampard is now on the right of the box cutting in. Gets past the defender but, in hoping i dont score, he tackles me from behind in the box because he has a change of saving the penalty. The penalty is scored and the normal time result is 4-4. No goals are scored in E.T. but in penalties I dominated by only letting in one of his shots, whereas I only had one of mine saved. He was a good sport and congratulated me. 2nd game: Was a 10v10 20 minute half game. Thought it would be very tedious as I was left as a defender. I was basically the only defender as the 2 others just ran upfield and left me to defend. I had a good performance with our team only conceeding 4 goals in the end and the final result being 8-4 to us (i got 1 assist and an accidental goal where I was running in for the cross and it hit of my shin).
