freak2121
My one small gripe is- how come a man basically filled with robotics gets injured falling 5 feet? Yeah, that always bugged me. I died from jumping off the bottom of a fire escape.
Creed Bratton
More than two hours in. Have yet to finish the first full mission section- just broke into the police headquarters.Crikey, what a well-thought-out, beautifully polished game. Really does hark back to the original. My one small gripe is- how come a man basically filled with robotics gets injured falling 5 feet? Because it's not a game for dummies and it doesn't hold your hand. You have to unlock the ability to jump from high places. Fuuuuuck! I'm going insane. My copy should have arrived today. Hopefully tomorrow. If not, you'll read about me in the papers. JOSEPH X
Mine only just arrived today. I was getting worried because GAME's website is down. I'm just rooting around the offices before meeting Pritchard to get my retinas fixed.

Unless he gets the augmentations specific to jumping and landing, he would get badly injured solely on that basis. Or what least that's what I believe, what with having a tremendous difficulty jumping? You can feel his weight when you try jumping.
Midnight Special
Been playin' it for 6 hours straight and gotta say, the game feels polished. It's just, great. I love it and I don't want to play it often so I won't finish it too early
meta187
I really love this game. The level design is excellent, the hacking mini game is awesome and the atmosphere is perfect. Every area I've infiltrated on a mission has had several routes through it by various means. The AI can be a little quirky, but that's a very minor thing considering the scope of the game. You bastard, you're really going to make me go buy this now aren't you? Oh well, I can skip lunch for the next week or so, I suppose. ~ Studio: Q-13 Lounge / Q:13 Warrior Tunes / Interweb Chex Mix, yo.~

It's almost invigorating these days to be told to do something without being told how in a game. I used the sewer system to enter the morgue. Did anyone else do it differently? By the way, how does the game look in DX11, Sivis? Edited August 27, 2011 by elanman

By the way, how does the game look in DX11, Sivis? Side entrance up a fire escape, wandered around the top floors of the police offices tasering everyone and turning off cameras until I got down to the morgue. Next time I'll walk through the front door and charm my way in. Game looks great- one gripe is a little speckling on the cut-scenes, though no idea why that would be. I'm quite astonished by the performance- I've got everything turned up to maximum and have yet to see any noticeable drop in frame-rate, regardless of the size of the area or number of mines I've sown. The game does look good, and it seems pretty well optimised. That's what I love about this game--you went in and saw the entire top floor, whereas I only saw the downstairs bathroom and the morgue; just shows how versatile the approach to a mission can be. I think upgrading Adam's social ability seems a good idea as conversations form such an important part of the game. However, other than that I think the all-important skill is hacking. To be honest, I'm not sure how useful the other augmentation upgrades will be in comparison to these ones.

I always thought his augmentations were extremely heavy, I mean, he can barely sprint for 5 seconds, he can't jump very high, and taking someone out will use up alot of his energy. By the way, how does the game look in DX11, Sivis? I used the front door, spoke to the desk sergeant and basically got him to make a start on forgiving himself and he let me through. From there i was able to explore pretty much all of the police station. Handy for the side quest where it asks you to investigate how the case relating to the merc attack happened. Having played Dragon Age and Mass Effect in the past few years I've been brought round to the idea that having conversation skills in a game can be immensely important. As people have said the game is fantastic and feels like an update of the first one. Had to love the code for the elevator in the first part of the game too

I actually used the sewer system--I thought about using the strength augmentation but I really want to get all the hacking upgrades first. Anyway, try using the sewers to get around--there's always another way. Sivis: I actually have no upgraded augs other than the hacking ones. Next I'll go for the social augs. sivispacem
I'm currently hunting around Tai Yong Medical with a crossbow and silenced 10mm pistol. It's confusing, but at least its helping me put the the "robot ownership" aug to good use...killing civilians and security guards! The storyline, Jensen, atmosphere, side quests. Its fantastic! I'm trying it out at the moment. I've got the silent walking aug, so it's great if you need to, say, cross between two objects in cover, but in full sight of a camera or enemy. It's also great for getting close enough to do double take-downs. Not where I'd put my augs right at the start of the game, but it's useful further in. JOSEPH X
Failed talking my way into the station, underground I didn't have hacking level 3, and thru the roof is just too well guarded. Done some sides and now I'm level 3 at hacking so I'll try and get in thru the sewers again. The game is pretty difficult, there's hardly any ammo. Done some sides and now I'm level 3 at hacking so I'll try and get in thru the sewers again. The game is pretty difficult, there's hardly any ammo. There are at least two other ways to get in. There's the side door I mentioned before, which is hack level 2 and the passcode can be found on one of the bangers who was looking to break into the police station to steal weapons in the fight against the ballers. As for the lack of ammo, I like it- it's an incentive to conserve it for difficult moments. I've probably used more stun gun darts and tranq darts than all other kinds of ammo put together so far. You can buy more ammunition here: Joseph: I'd just upgrade to level 3 hacking if I were you. You can by praxis kits from the LIMB clinic to do so. Using the sewer system makes the mission a piece of piss, honestly. Sivis: same here--that tranquiliser rifle you can get at the start of the first main mission is invaluable.
