SaintJimmy
Ok, here's my situation. A friend of mine bought 2 tickets to Judas Priest. His sister turned out to be sick so now I'm heading (well was planned) to head with him. That is on the 14th of September. I just found out that a local, semi-famous Australian band which I support are playing their final show, EVER. That is on the 13th of September. At first we thought, well sh*t, we have to go to Judas Priest, but I have met the dudes from Antiskeptic (the aussie band) and we're both supporters of them. We came to the conclusion that, if our parents allow, we will go to both. We may be sh*t tired after Judas Priest, but nothing a few energy drinks into us can't fix. Heres the major issue - 13th/14th is the weekend. Not an issue. If anything that makes it better. But the weekend is halfway through my yearly exams. Now, I'm going to study like hell before and during my exams so for me, one weekend off cant be that bad. But thats not the way my parents see it. What I think is best for me = the complete opposite, apparanetly. So I need to somehow manage to get to both concerts. At the least, I'll be able to go out and see the aussie band. But I'm dying to go to Judas Priest, it'd be such an experience. ~I do not have a car. Can't drive myself. ~I have an older brother who's 22, works frequently but with the slight possibility he could drive me there. The best idea I can think of is, convince my parents to let me go see only Antiskeptic, and the next night, just say that my brother is taking me out for the night and sneak out to the concert. But I have a feeling thats not the most solid of plans. Any better suggestions?
Fnorg
Wow, Judas Priest... I'd go to Judas Priest, but that's a biased opinion, I've never heard of this Australian band. My folks were always, and are still, really cool, "Just be home by some time, okay, dear?". But, they can be a huge pain in the ass. If your brothers in nice enough to lie, I don't see the problem. SaintJimmy
Yeah, my bro being nice enough to lie is one problem. But it would be a Sunday night, with the next day being an exam day they'd be verry moody on a time for me to be home by. Another thing is, I can't exactly rely on my brother 100% because he's not the most reliable of folk when it comes to 'Hell yeah, i'll do that for you bro' kind've stuff. Starion
You can go to Judas Priest any other time. With the semi famous Aussie band, you'll never ever get the chance to see them again. Ever. I say try to go to both, but the aussie band is really more important. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.
Struff Bunstridge
Not to sound like a boring grown-up, but how confident are you that you can go see two bands in two nights and still take your exam properly on the Monday?

Something he hasn't told us is what exam he has and how good he is at it. For all we know, he weighs 400lbs and has to take a test over Kinesiology that involves a 2 mile run. 5192:12.3.02LM/SSHmkl
Rebel
I'd just go see the Aussie band. I mean like you said its their last gig EVER and its not like you'd get a second chance to see them unlike Judas Priest, which you could go see again when you wouldn't be stuck in this dilemma. Machida
If you were a real rocker you wouldn't need to ask. Just remember rockers always end up living in a one bedroom flat with six other guys all comming up with reasons why their hair won't fall out. Chicks will only put up with your body odur after you've done a gig and one day you'll have to face it that Bruce Dickinson is a bit of a tool. ...But it's Judas Priest for christ sakes! Yeah and if you fail, you can take exams again too.
alllthejuicydetails
Pick one of the two. Of course it would be great to see both, but exams?..
