SA send error report window/certain user profile

I have GTA Sa. I've played it many times before without the DVD it comes with by using a crack. But now the game only works when I use alternative windows user log-ins. the game will play fine on those, but will only bring up a "gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem..." error report while using my main windows user login.

system specs:

Windows Xp, SP2

Intel pentium 4 CPU 3.40GHz, 1 GB Ram

Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 (crappy video card I know )

sound card: Creative Audigy audio processor (wdm) V 5.12.4.443

 

anyone know the fix to this. I've searched on this site but I can't find anything in the faqs.

Buy a legit game.

Or, if you have a legit game, then I should ask :

Did you install any mods ?

Or download any save games ?

Re-install the game and delete the [.set] file. And don't use NO-CD crack.

It'd be very difficult to pinpoint the core of the problem. In any case, if the game works on other user accounts, why not continue with that user account and discard your main one? Something must have gone wrong with your main user account and as I said, very difficult to pinpoint the problem.

 

At the most, you can try System Restore to the point where the game worked on your main user account. If not, it'd be best to switch to the user account on which the game works.

I don't have any mods on San An, for I have reinstalled it and all. Yeah, The no-cd cracks are kind of a pain.

 

girishb: That's what I'll probably do, it's just a little more inconvenient to switch over (got to change settings and stuff). Thanks though. (It's probably what I'll do)

does your user account have a period ( . ) in it ? If it does, either you'll have to rename your user account or use a different account.
