Anyone else want a cheat device?

I don't know about you but I miss the days of firing up Edison Carters cheat device and letting loose on LCS & VCS. I can't help but wonder, what if with the new homebrew P.O.C. for the PS3 maybe we might see a cheat device for the PS3? infinite ammo + no wanted level would make this game.....Epic (like a lot moar epic than it is right now) what do you think?

 

(I know this might not be possible but a guy can always dream, right?)

I doubt it's possible. There's no main stream company making cheat devices for the PS3, I guess it's not as easy as the PS2 days.

 

I used to literally play SA for a whole day with the high water hack from Edison Carter, so SA was flooded, and various other random in game cheats.

AR-Max and Gameshark are cheat devices which you put into the console, enable what cheats you want, and then put in your game.

 

It's quite complicated as you have to put all the codes in by hand, and they have to be compatible by region, game, and device. Once this is done you enable the ones you want, take out the disc, and put in the game that you selected the cheats for.

 

I used AR-Max, and there were some crazy codes for that. You could use a code that changed water level to whatever you want - from no water at all, to water-world style flooding of SA.

 

There was also stuff like control gravity. You press L1 and gravity is reversed, so all of the cars would fall of the earth and fly upwards, same with peds and your character if he was off the ground.

 

You could throw grenades or satchels and then reverse gravity so they flew up, or you could do a jump in yer car and then press L1 to get super height.

 

There was one where you paused physics aswell, so if you shot a rocket and pressed the activation button, they would stay in mid air, cars and peds would be stuck in one position etc, even if they were in mid air.

 

So, that's a brief explanation of how kickass cheat devices are.

I knowww I've been wanting one of these for ages. The flood cheat was the best one in my opinion.

 

They put all the real cheats in the game but they didn't give any of the game-altering ones. Health we got, guns we got, wanted level down we got, but peds attack you we don't??
