out of commison help

So i am up to the mission Out Of Commission. Everything is fine till the part where you have to tap A to get on the helicopter. Everytime i get up to this part I tap A like if my life depended on it and I just keep falling down . I need help please.

I have read of people suggesting just tapping the necessary button at a slower pace because sometimes the game doesn’t recognise the amount of times your pressing it when going very fast. This isn’t guaranteed to work but is worth a try.

I read something here that has worked perfectly for me.

 

Normally, I hold the controller and hit the A button with my right thumb. However, in this case, the thumb isn't fast enough.

 

I take my right hand off of the controller and use my right middle finger to rapidly tap the A button. I go at it like a Morse code operator on the Titanic.

 

Even though I'm a newb, it has worked in every mission that has required a rapid button push.

I played it on PS3 and I pressed the X button (A for 360) slowly and Niko eventually got up on the chopper. Edited August 27, 2008 by Flesh-n-Bone

I get in just fine "still havent beat it yet" the mother f*cker always kills me with a missle when im controlling the copter. On my like 12th attempt now lol game is on pause.

thank god i finally beat it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In slightly over 21 hours of gameplay time. I still got most of the extras to do. To bad I used cheats though Maybe I will make that my next challenge after I get done with Halo 3 and DMC 4 is to beat GTA 4 with no cheats. It's just very difficult with the health for me at least.
