gta4fanman
A crazy storyline would be a one that is uncommonly made. I think the next GTA should be planned and thought out differently. An idea. The story should start somewhere with killing THE BOSS. Instead of the main boss being the last enemy standing. This boss should not be powerful with his physically or mentally body or any sort of way. The fact you killed him will result of a chaos theory of the city you are in. Gangs will have revolutions and civil wars. Leadership and corruption will rise because there wallet is on fire. All because you killed one guy. Most stories end with the prediction of the antagonist dying at the end. So im tired of seeing that. Edited August 18, 2008 by gta4fanman

Algonquin Assassin
Yeah I'm sick of the "bad guy dieing at the end" theme. It's just so f**king predictable. We already know theye're going to die anyway. So yeah something like that would be cool, but how would the game finish?
the_don94
So yeah something like that would be cool, but how would the game finish? Exactly. Who would you be battling during the whole process of the entire game?
Und3r5c0r3
Sounds like a great idea, except for the problem with who the antagonist would be. Start thinking, people!
CarpetDweller
If killing the big boss causes chaos in the lower ranks, several smaller factions of the original gang would emerge as well as opposing gangs who are now seizing the opportunity they have to take over. Our protagonist works among a few of these factions and takes followers from each who join him as he builds up a gang of his own. The game ends with an all out war against all of the opposing gangs until the player's gang takes control. This way several 'Bosses' feature as the leaders of the warring gangs. The final level would involve taking out maybe 4 of these. I imagine that one particular boss would naturally be the one left until last just due to something particularly bad he did during the storyline. This would usually be the 2nd in command of the original gang, but it might be more interesting if it was someone who was a nobody before the protagonist's action helped him rise to power. The biggest difference here might be that, as the player arrives in town and somehow kills the boss, he instantly becomes infamous and most gang members are inmmediately going to hate him and try to kill him. During the game you would win the respect of people and certain areas would actually get more peaceful for you as the game progresses. Edit: A thought just occurred to me. I've never seen or played The Warriors, so I hope I haven't just used the same plot. Wanted Assailant's above post makes me think it might be. gta4fanman
The boss should be a somebody that has just about all ties to the underworld. As a result of killing him you would have to cut all ties in order to forward the game. The antagonist should be this boss throughout the game. Even if he dies within the first half hour of the game. His wrath will be express with all his employers and employees that have money on your head.
the_don94
So the storyline is just to kill?
Sergi
That's not nesicarily a more dynamic plot but more or less just a big twist at the beginning of the game. A more dynamic plot would be where there are numerous main antagonist(perferbly 3 or 4) that we don't know who's the main antagonist throughout the game but as time passes we kill each one leaing it open at the end for a main antagonist. An idea could be at the beginning of the game say our charcter is released from prison and the guy who was his main rival is thought to be the main bad huy for the game only to be killed early on. Then we have 3 corrupt cops or so and we have to deal with them and we knock each one of them off as time goes by then the 4th guy would have been someone close to the charcter and it's beleived that he's the antagonist only to find out he's not. Then finally at the end we find out the antagonist is someone who was never shown in the game but only mentioned or someone we did missions for and it never poitned to them that they were the bad guy. Really a more dynamic plot can be in the eyes of the holder.R* just needs to make the storyline more interesting and gritty regardless and make the main bad guys actually cool again like Sonny and Tenpenny because Simitri was the worst main antagonist in the history of video games. gta4fanman
I wouldn't mind seeing cut scenes where you are in a middle of a mission and some semi rams you out of nowhere. That can severe a mission to a different one. Completely derailing the story. For me what antagonist lack is ability to have 1000's of eyes watching the city. gta4fanman
So the storyline is just to kill? Somewhat. I notice too dense stories. Come out dull and rarely have replay value.
ICEKING_688
How about the first character you see being killed in a cutscene is the main antagonist, and then, the game rewinds to about 10 months prior to this first cutscene of the game, and at the end YOU have to kill main antagonist in gameplay. ceedot
So yeah something like that would be cool, but how would the game finish? Exactly. Who would you be battling during the whole process of the entire game? Two of the gang bosses get up. You befriend one of them, only to have him murdered by the other gang boss. That's that.
