Mainly, because i know for a fact they have interfered with the production of games under their banner. Forcing complanies to hurry releases that are still buggy, and me as a customer ending up with buggy unplayable crap, that takes forever to get fixed, if they fix it at all (BF2). The battlefield series is a perfect example of how EA can ruin a franchise. They took one of the best FPS franchises going (BF1942), and reduced it into a console game (BF:BC). And look at their next upcoming installment, (BF:heroes), a cartoon game for 3yr olds... Sure it will be free, BUT you will have to buy your upgrades and unlocks. How typically EA... Guarantee they keep adding upgrades every so often, so you have to keep paying to stay current. As for the secureRom crap, i wont ever buy a game with limited installs. I reformat my HD every 6 months, so being able to reinstall is essential. And ill give up gaming before ill ever buy a crappy console. Capricornus Posted August 20, 2008 Share Posted August 20, 2008 (edited) Man, if (and probably when) EA gets T2, their profits are probably going to triple. Great for business I say. But then again, if EA were to get T2, T2 may lose a lot of GTA Fans, which transends into more money that the company is going to be missing out on. I personally wouldn't mind EA acquiring T2, they can probably provide some decent ideas for the next GTA Game for the consoles and PC. EA obviusly sees that T2 is a company that makes big bucks, and they want those big bucks. I have to admit that I am a devoted NFL fan and I love the Madden games and have always has, and some of the Sims games as well. EA is pretty fine by me. Not to mention that Skate was a superb game and I can't wait for Skate 2. So EA is going for the gold. If T2 accepts th buyout (I am agreeing with BioVirus on this one), some so-called GTA fans may no longer be fans of the GTA franchise soley because they don't like EA. I said it once and I'll say it again. People who have common sense on this forum is 1 in 100. It seems almost everyone just doesn't understand how this would help Take 2 and they just keep thoring up old, biased, plain dumb and un eduvated things around that make no sense at all. Even if someone like me or you who actually understand the situation wins the argument we still lose because no matter what some of these people will stick to their plain retarded views. As I said why would I care of EA buys Take 2 and why would any of you? It's a video game company nothing more then that. Video games is a business just like movies, telvision, music, books and anything else that has to do with business. Money is what makes these things work and EA and Take 2 are looking at the moeny not the fans. No matter how many of the GTA fanbiys cry it's not going to stop EA or Take 2. No matter how many petitions people claim they're gonna do it's not going to stop EA or Take 2. Let's be honest do any of you really think that GTA will stop selling just because EA publishes it? As stated before this can only help GTA and you guys are trying to make it seem like the worst case scenario. With EA buying Take 2 not only will R* have way bigger funds and development resources but they'll also have bigger teams. EA would not risk making GTA a waterd down yearly game just for more selles because sooner or later people are going to stop buying the game. EA won't milk GTA anymore then Take 2 and R* milk GTA. TT think 2 billion is not enough, and EA dont seem to want to raise their sum, and the deadline is next monday. But hey if EA do take over its really not that bigger deal. EA will only be publishing GTA, Rockstar will still develope it, which means it should stay the same. Dont get me wrong, i dont agree with big corporations like EA who consume everything, but right now i have more important things to give a sh*t about than what EA is doing. Rockstar dont own Euphoria. Its owned and was made by a company called NaturalMotion, and theres a rumor flying around that EA have brought them out, but theres been no mention of this on the NaturalMotion website, so its probably not true.
