At random times if you get off the train at broker station the will be 2 cars slightly wrecked with a police man interviewing the "drivers" I listend in and this is the result COP: So you dropped your sig on your leg and it burnt causing you to crash? DRIVER: No I shoved it on my wrist COP: Have you ever been arrested ? DRIVER: No. Then they just started moving there arms to make it look like a convo then when back to the start. ----------------------------- Man fixing his car. I cant remember where it was but the was a guy and his car was smoking and the bonet was up and he kept putting his arms in the bonet and taking them out and itching his head. ----------------------------- The home of tramps. If you get on the train track with a car and keep driving you will eventually find an old train station with loads of graffiti and the will be 15 - 25 tramps there. ------------------------------ I was being good and stopping at traffic lights , I noticed that the line of cars where diffrent drivers doing diffrent things , 1 had his arm out the window , other had his arm resting on the other chair , 1 had a little fan and was waving it around there face. ----------------------------- If you land on a moving plane in the air with a helicopter (dont get out , you will blow away =] ) you will notice on the left side it will say "WE WILL NEVER FORGET THAT DREADFUL DAY 6 YEARS AGO" <-- It must be a reference to 9/11 ------------------------------ I live in new york and across the road from my local internet caffe the is an ally with graffiti on it and it has a painting of niko bellic putting his gloves on , If you go there on GTA IV it will be there and the internet cafe is a panoramic shop. ------------------------------ On the table in most of your apartments the will be references to Yellow pages called Yellow Paper ------------------------------ Outside the bowling ally a man ran past and stole somen off a woman , I dont even think he had anything just makes u thing he has something and he runs off then a cop chases him and holds a gun at him , he puts his arms up and the cop leads him to the cop car ------------------------------ If you get a motorcycle and ride on the train tracks and you catch up to a train you can see the people on the train with newspapers and leaning agains the door and that. ------------------------------ If you kill a transfesty after doing her and losin 70 bucks you can kill her and get 70 bucks back ------------------------------ Have any of you got any things you didint expect to be added to gta IV ? SuperVeloce Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 * Peds acctually get arrested (sometimes ) * If you use the swing glitch and it knackers your car, the interior will be all bent inside * When you beep the horn Niko acctually puts his hand in the middle of the steering wheel * Smoke rises from fire when your car explodes * If you look "inside" Niko's head (stand close to a wall and move the cam round to his face) you acctually see an eye ball * Keep shooting someone when they're dead on the floor and blood will come from them * People throw garbage out their car windows when stopped Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SLUGFly Posted August 18, 2008 Share Posted August 18, 2008 -I like that "downed" people crawl into the fetal position and still mutter things like "please, call an ambulance," etc. And also that you can still kill them after they're downed. -flying through windshields -the INTENSE speed at which you die when struck by a car or pinned between a car and an anything -NPC driver reactions, especially to being shot -NPC's pulling you out to kick your ass after you jack them -police fights ended short by a close-range shotgun blast -decorative forklifts and transport-trucks (can't let that one go) and firetrucks that don't put out fires -peds being dragged by the car after grabbing the door -exploding hot dog vendors!!! -keeping weapons after going to the hospital (thank you R*) -when your car is upside down, it's just upside down... no more spontaneous explosions I like this topic a lot. I'm at work right now (therefore being bad) but I'll be reading the other posts that accumulate between now and then once I get home. I'm sure there are loads more things that when first I saw them I thought "wow, that's awesome" but the game is so huge that there are tons of things that I've only seen once... and I bought the game on release day. also: I live in new york and across the road from my local internet caffe the is an ally with graffiti on it and it has a painting of niko bellic putting his gloves on , If you go there on GTA IV it will be there and the internet cafe is a panoramic shop. SentinelXS Posted August 19, 2008 Share Posted August 19, 2008 i really like alot of the little details they felt the need to include...like the fact it is autumn in the game and sometimes the leaves fall when i was scouting out locations to use for Alderney Exporters, Inc. i was at the docks in Alderney, Port Tudor at the Octopus and there are so many things laying around on the ground at the dock...there was something that looked like a big green buoy that would float in the water and the bottom 1/2 that would have been submerged in the saltwater was rusty and the rest wasnt...there was a section of huge chain that looked like it came from an ancor just laying there...puts things into perspective a little i like the fact that you can turn your car off when getting out...i always thought it was odd that you couldnt shut the engine off in the previous games...doesnt really do anything but its a nice little touch. ped w/ umbrellas was a nice little touch and ppl covering their heads w/ magazines...Niko seems more self aware than previous characters and responds more to what is going on around him...w/ actions or comments lastly i was happy to see some decent hand-to-hand combat in the game...SA made an attempt at this by allowing CJ to learn new fighting styles but Niko can be deadly if you use the correct combos....especially w/ the knife....and headshots actually mean something and there is a way to target the head and actually shot someone there w/ realitive ease -XS Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Something else that I didn't expect is that when youre in a car and look behind you Niko checks his middle mirror in the car to look behind him in previous GTAs they never did that. If you knock a fire hydrant over it will really knock you down or move your car. Blood stains actually appear and stay on Nikos or anyone elses clothes after they've been shot a number of times. People in cars will really hit you if you walk into oncoming traffic! In previous GTAs they usually stopped just in time unless they were an "aggresive" driver. Cop chases can be evaded by not just having to use the pay unti and spray garage you can actually try to out run them or drive them which is good because it was ridiculous how no matter what 2 stars and up they kept coming for you until you got a police bribe or headed into the pay and spray. Another one I like is that if your car takes too much damage it wont start up again. I've never bothered to slow down for a second and stop shooting at people to admire the details of Liberty City. 2.The one about the reference to 9/11, I definitely wouldn't expect something like that to be in the game. Not to say it shouldn't be in the game, but more serious things like that usually aren't in GTA games, so I wouldn't expect it. I'll have to check it out later. 3.I'll also watch out for things like the 3rd one I quoted. Theres alot of stuff in this game (alot has already been mentioned). One thing I'm surprised no one has mentioned; is the way a helicopter can actually BREAK when it crashes (eg. the loss of the tail, blades etc) and also, how peds can grab onto your car sometimes if you let them grab the door and you speed off OOH, and I did NOT expect 'window washer elevators'. I didn't even figure that out my friend did. He was getting chased by the cops his car stalled and then he restarted it, really cool feature. And if it´s not in motion, call 911, hang up and drive away. Watch for flames though. I did not expect to do same hooker over and over again with a little bit of acceleration. Long night. Cool how Stevie pays from imported vehicles depending on level of damage, and some other factors too. (try wanted level & length) I did not expect parking lots. Getting into vehicle without garage door animation is great, and fast. I did not expect to find new car after 97 hours of gameplay!! Sick. This game is sick. uptownrockstar Posted August 20, 2008 Share Posted August 20, 2008 there are a few things i didnt expect. 1. a Morral for the deceased rapper Big Pun, in bohan where its surpose to be. i think the real on is on univercity ave in the bronx. oh, and harlem hospital. where i was born at. 2. homeless/pheins sleeping on the street; i kicked one, he stood up talking about how his wife was trying to ruin his life (perhaps the reason he was homeless). during his rant i pulled my trusty glock on him; and he ran of screaming "oh sh!t, that b$t#h put a hit out on me.= lmao.. 3. the slang. the slang they use in the game is true up to date new york slang. all they was missing was "whats goodie" exp: i was in harlem(ingame), driving the jeep with the tvs. so i'm driving around nice and slow, looking for stuff i know. i pass these two girls, and one of them says " ayo son, that s%^t is crack". 4. the animations. i was in westmister towers causing trouble. when i saw one of those m.o.b. thugs. i have been trying to learn how to spot them(chains, tims); this one had shades and skull cap on. walking though the jecks late night on his phone. I pulled the heat on him, and he stood there talking mess, like it wasnt his final hour. so i shot him dead in the forehead. and pow, his hat and glass poped off. awesome. theres more stuff i'm sure, but it is pretty cool.. p.s. i will i use this uzi to remove ur cofie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Worker 1: "This country has become really fascist since the attacks." Worker 2: "Yeah man." ---------------------------- I like how you can shoot guns out of police's hands. You will see injured people on hospital beds and people waiting in the office. Brick walls will crack and damage. You can pick up objects and throw them. You can brighten and adjust headlights.
