YeTi
Have you tried reading this topic? Granted it isn't very simple but it does explain A LOT about ENEX, it does give you a lot of examples. I did a quick forum search and didn't find much documentation on ENEX, I did look at GTAModding.com and found a couple of topics, this being the main one, it explains ENEX fairly simply. The Interior topic may also be useful to you. The only way you're really going to learn is by trying, have a go at it and see what happens, you may figure it out or you may not, you may crash your game, you may not, as long as you backup files you should be ok and no permanent damage will be caused . OrionSR
I find it helpful to work with examples from the default enex connections. Decide if you want the yellow doors to be visible or invisible. Use two-way links for visible doors and one-way links for invisible doors. Examples: Two-Way - the LS Tower, LAn2.ipl 1571.24, -1336.67, 15.7288, 0, 3, 3, 8, 1577.24, -1330.67, 15.7288, -46, 0, 70, "SKYLAN2", 0, 2, 0, 241548.64, -1364.02, 325.289, 0, 3, 3, 8, 1548.14, -1366.42, 325.289, 90, 0, 66, "SKYLAN2", 0, 2, 0, 24 One-Way - the SF Tower, SFe.ipl -1749.35, 869.279, 24.0593, 0, 4, 4, 8, -1753.85, 885.679, 295.059, -65, 0, 0, "", 0, 2, 0, 24-1753.75, 883.965, 294.645, 0, 1, 1, 8, -1749.38, 865.158, 24.1455, 4152.66, 0, 0, "", 0, 2, 0, 24 These examples are easy to adapt. Since everything is outdoors there is no need to adjust the Interior number or Sky colors. For the two-way link you'll need a unique (7 character max) enex name. The LS Tower is flagged to transport bikes; subtract 64 to disable bikes, add 32 to enable cars. IPL Helper Blue Edition is a great tool for modifying enex connections. I think the current version is 5.0. I highly recommend: 1) Make a backup of the Maps folder and gta.dat before you begin modifications. 2) Create a new folder under DATA to hold your custom files (DATA\IPL). 3) Create a new IPL file rather than edit the default files. 4) Add a reference link to your new IPL file in gta.dat so the file will be read. 5) Add the reference line after all other IPL files to avoid scrambling the sequence of the standard links. People are often confused about where to place the exit location for the Two-Way links. One-way links are straight forward as long as they are considered to be independent of each other. Enter at the first point and exit at the location listed on the same line. Two-way links use the exit position of the destination (In1 to Out2, In2 to Out1). One-Way:In \ OutTwo-Way:In1 In2 > <Out1 Out2 Hm... I'm not sure this illustrates my point properly. It is suppose to show that for a one-way link the exit is far away from the entrance. For a two-way link, the entrance and exit are usually very close together. The exit position is usually just outside of the entrance radius.
