Taxi drove off w/o letting me select destination

I was playing the game earlier today and I was out drinking with Little Jacob. I then hailed a cab, we got in the car and then it just sped off without giving me a chance to select a destination. Then the cab just kept driving around really fast without stopping even once to give us a chance to get out of the car.

 

After a few minutes I had had enough and started firing at a cop car and eventually, after obtaining a three star wanted level, the cops managed to stop the runaway cab so we could get out and run like hell to another car so we could escape.

 

Is this a known bug? I tried Googling but I didn't find anything.

I've Had This Glitch a couple times going through story mode. (It mostly happens after you go out with a friend) I just wait and after about 15-30 sec. He stops at a stop light. (Im playing on the 360) My friend plays on the PS3 and it only happed once. So it must be more common on the 360.

Never had that happen before, then again I have only gone out drinking 3 times, one of them I just drove and the rest I took a cab.
