Ronnyboy
Tron 2 Info On July 24, 2008 Disney surprised San Diego Comic Con attendees with test footage from a sequel to Tron. The footage began with an update of the lightcycle duel from the original film, pitting a blue program against a yellow one with the two racing (where the rider is now exposed) through a futuristic landscape. The duel is being observed from a high, cliff-side structure by a human figure – an older, bearded Kevin Flynn played again by Jeff Bridges. One of the duel's participants is revealed to be Clu, with the face of the younger Jeff Bridges. The footage ended with a '2' appearing in the traditional Tron font and the title, TR2N, emerging around it, then fading away to leave the number. As of August 9, 2008, the Internet Movie Database entry for the film is titled TR2N with a projected release date of 2011. Personally I can't wait, I loved the first Tron, and I wanted a sequel, this will be so bad ass.

Ronnyboy
I haven't seen the first Tron, but makeshyft tells me it's good, So when I've seen it, I'll watch this. Yeah, it has some very impressive graphics for it's time. The story is a bit weird, but pretty good at the same time. A lot of computer lingo is thrown around (RAM for instance is a character), and it is pretty good all around.

makeshyft
While the original might not have been brilliant in the traditional sense, Tron is one of the first films I actually remember watching, which is why I have such a soft spot for it. I was only one when it came out, so obviously missed it when released, but when I was a couple of years older and would sit with my mother and watch films, I would often request this one. There was something about the visual presentation which really pleased me - the neon suits, endless grids - though I am not so sure I would be so enthusiastic about it these days. I can't say I am excited for a sequel - I am indifferent, actually. My love for the first one is based more around fondness for my childhood and, as such, I doubt I'll rush out to watch part 2. Slamman
Little late in the game, since Gaming at Home is the trend, not arcades, any longer... OK, I can see the tech and CGI working, but with the original, there was a great mix of reality and fantasy that wasn't entirely hokey, mainly due to the acting chops of Jeff Bridges, an actor I always have enjoyed. He brings real verve to any role he plays.
