Okay, I'm on last night in Free Mode with my buddy. It's the typical airport scene where everyone is killing everyone. My buddy, starts complaining about another player, (we will call him Mr. X). Mister X just has my buddy's number. Here's the thing. I don't see any Mr. X. I push down to see the players. There is no Mr. X on my list of players. I start to realize that Mr. X doesn't see me either. Somehow we are totally invisible to each other and if I weren't playing with someone who was telling me about it I wouldn't have known. Someone on this forum recently posted about watching players die out of nowhere in MP. I now suspect that it was happening to them too. Whenever Mr. X was killing someone, I would just get the message, so and so died. I came up with a plan, I told my buddy to come to where I was, I was on the edge of an airplane wing. He stood in front of me shooting at Mr. X. I shot in the general direction of where Mr. X should be. Suddenly bullets came at me from nowhere. Some more evidence that he was invisible was that I was on top of one of the high places, and below me I saw a character standing up but flying by me underneath as if they were flying by in a car. I am assuming that they were in a car with Mr. X and Mr. X and his car were invisible. Anyway, if you are ever playing with a buddy in freemode, have you and him/her count the players in the game and see if you come up with the same number.

It's nothing to do with invisibility, its just connection issues. There's something to do with either your connection or Mr X's connection with makes you both unable to see one another. I've had similar situations many a time.

Once I was in a TDM at Happiness Island, I was on the 1st floor of the statue with some guy from another team but I couldn;t see him, so everytime my team mates got on the same level as me, I'd see them shooting at nothing, then suddenly money and a weapon would appear on the ground with no corpse.

 

I've noticed it so much more once I finally realised what was happening. I guess it's just one of the limitations of online gaming.

 

If you are the host, you will always see everyone, so if the host has voice try asking how many players on each team etc.

Yeah it's connection.

I've had people flying and levitating past me at 100 kph because the choppers and cars were invisible.

 

Screws with your head at first.

Especially when you see two people in an invisible car sitting one behind the other.

The term Invisibility Cloak was tongue and cheek. I figured it was server/connection issue. It can actually enhance a game in which it is happening especially if you have someone else in the game that can see players that are invisible to you. If you can successfully kill an "invisible" player, it would certainly give you a good laugh and the other player a classic WTF moment. Who knows, maybe we will see a post from them the next day.

Yeah we get that all the time in TWs. You'll be staring straight at a turf and all of a sudden it gets taken and the message show up as a random colour (not orange or purple).
