Now i heard that if i get the friendship percentage up high enough that i can make use of two of his bodyguards...that sounds awesome. The problem is....this LOTS of missions ago....and still i haven't received a call or email from him, which IS supposed to happen. I'm really not that far away from finishing the storyline...so what's up with this? A glitch? I've seen that other people have this problem as well.... My email box was filled with crap..now it's almost empty but still nothing from Dwayne.....i guess i'm just unlucky and that this means i'll only get it with a second playthrough? Erados Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 To Maine: Both of these ARE glitches. Dwayne calls incessantly, although I don't know about E-mails. I haven't checked mine since Story Complete. So yeah, him not calling is a glitch. I loved the positive part of your post, though. I'm really into minimalist design myself. Call Dwayne yourself. You should still have his phone number if you did save him, since he asks you to himself and he calls you on the phone to do so. MaineGD17 Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 You have to reply to the email from dwayne to begin the friendship...which that other guy so called haven't received...but I personally got Dwayne email on all three times I beat the game...and even didn't reply to the email cuz Dwayne calls me like he my bitch or sum...and if you call him, you'll get his voice mail until you reply to that email...and about the Kate story...I chose Revenge on one of my Completed Story's and the bitch died and still haven't called me...so its not a glitch to me... NO i have definitely not deleted any email from him. Today i have deleted lots of nonsense emails in the inbox but his wasn't there. And like i said...whenever i call him, i get his voicemail. I'm not making this thread just for fun you know....i knew that i was gonna get bodyguards from him, so i tried calling him right away after his last mission, and all the time i got his voicemail saying 'ya'll fake, don't wanna hang out with fool that is down, but you do wanna hang out with a fool on top' something along those lines. And i've asked this same thing on the Gamefaqs GTA IV forum and the GTA IV from on the Gametrailers forum. And all have been saying that this is probably a glitch...and some other people were unlucky as well. Unless they deleted the message i don't know..i do know for sure that i didn't. And apart from this (if nothing is gonna happen and stays like this ) i haven't encountered ANY kind of glitch....so dude, again...calm the hell down, you are acting like if i'm attacking your family or something, jeez. Ok, it's all good. But yeah, i guess i have to do that. However...i'm too far into the story to restart now. I've just finished 'Undertaker' i am only guessing that it simply can't be incredibly long anymore before the final mission. I have also been busy by finishing the car missions for Brucie and things like that...but i think i'll quit with that and save it for the second playthrough. Ok so for the second playthrough....as soon as i have finished every Dwayne mission...i should receive a email from him pretty soon? Oh...i DID receive his call where he asked if i had called him , he was in the shower and all that....but never a email. Oh absolutely, that's what i love about this game, in many missions you can just do it in different ways...that's what i love. Or the random characters, it's awesome stuff. Erados Posted August 17, 2008 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I restarted too, after I forgot to save before the final mission. I didn't like the result of my choice. They give different dialogue on most missions, so it's not as boring as it seems. Although the first missions where you just find someone and kill them get really monotonous. After that mission was done i received a phonecall from him...Dwayne said he heard that i was haging out with Cherise and asking if i was tight with her, an item. Niko said no man, and that he was gonna hang out soon. Maybe i'll receive that email now? It could be that the people who haven't gotten that email as well, never stumbled upon Cherise as random character. And maybe the peeps that DID got that email also stumbled upon her. Also, I got the call from Dwayne seconds after finishing Cherise's mission.
