Carbine23
Well the demon idea of the movie gave me an inspiration to write a story for the writers discussion. In order to make a teaser for the story, i made a trailer using the max payne trailer and the music from it. Is the editing i did ok? Does everything fit well together? Blackadder.
-Opening title took up 1/10th of the video, didn't need to be more than a few seconds. -Titles are quite basic, experiment with fonts, add effects in Photoshop and use pre-made images instead of relying on the simple text that your movie making software spits out. -Also, when using hefty text in titles, you'll usually want something catchy to keep the viewer interested, but not too distracting at the same time. Something like Of course, you probably won't be able to recreate something of such scale, but you get the idea.-Syncing between video and audio could of been slightly better, but it was pretty well done for WMM (I aussme that's what you were using?) -Make the title card for the name of, in this case story, stand out a bit more from other titles, I didn't know what the name of this was until I checked the name of he video itself. Other than the things I mentioned, pretty good. The music suited it quite well. Edited August 17, 2008 by Blackadder.
Carbine23
I don't have photoshop but i do have GIMP which i download a few days ago. Can you do the same stuff with font? And the titles were made longer then they should've been so they could fit with the music up until the part when the music got really loud (with the movie scenes). I would love to do something like the Spiderman Trailer but i can't. Overall thanks. I did the best i could, but i appreciate your help
Blackadder.
GIMP should work just as well, just make sure you don't get carried away and do something that in theory would look good but in reality is ugly as hell. You could also have spliced the music to get to the point you needed faster, I find when I watch a trailer and eventually track down the song they used and listen to it, only to find out it's been heavily edited, tells me that they put some effort into planning it out. Of course you wouldn't be able to do something along the lines of the Spider-Man 3 Teaser Trailer intro, I don't think anyone on this forum could. So yeah, just keep some of these things in mind for your next trailer(s), if anyone says something negative without reason for doing so, just ignore them, we all have to start somewhere.
