It's not about what game is better period. This is the Saints Row 2 topic for Christ sake. Why on earth you people feel the need to jostle over what game "owns" what and where, I don't bloody know! It's a topic (In the community section of the forums) for discussion of SR2, the good and the bad. It's not a topic to compare Saints Row 2 to GTA IV.

 

As the topic has just recently been closed because someone was comparing the two games, it may be a good idea to avoid comparisons with GTA. You don't think?

Wasn't closed because of comparisons, it was closed becaause of undying fanboyism and people saying things just because. There's nothing wrong with making a comparison if it is a reasonable, and logical one but "SR2 is crap and GTAIV is the sh*t" really doesn't make for a compelling argument.

Look, just discuss the damn game. Not whether it's better or worse than GTA, or how great you think you are because you prefer one over the other.

Don't barge into this thread and spam it up every chance you get with your sh*t (like certain, temp-banned people have in the past).

Just discuss the game: the story, the gameplay etc. Leave your fanboyism at the door.

 

If you don't like the game, don't post in the f*cking topic.

I tell you I'm playing on PS3, or was rather. I've deleted all my saves thinking that there may be a trophy patch for the game in the future. Still keeping an ear out for it but it doesn't look likely. Other than that, after having compled the game I'm in no great rush to play any time soon.

Well it's just that I still haven't beaten it yet. Me and my mate have completed every Activity besides the Chop Shops together and then we started the missions. I first stopped playing because my damn game kept freezing up. But now I just don't have any interest in it, BUT I do want to beat it so I'm going to get that done and maybe get the achievements.

 

People have actually gone back to playing the original SR because the MP is MUCH better. I have to admit...PTP sure was fun, but now it's gone, along with everything else that made the MP so successful.

Actually this would be the perfect place to bitch about this game seeing how it is the official topic for it. Just as long as the bitching is warranted. I have no problem with people complaining about any game because nothing is perfect.

The freezing was a bit of the pain. Something that seemed to get worse as the game went on and MP wasn't even something I bothered to try. It's by no means the only game I've played this year that could do with a patch, but yeah, it could do with a patch!

So I finally completed it. I have to say, I kinda wish there were more levels to the game. I still have to do most of the activities though. Its going to keep me busy until Christmas rolls around and I get my other games. Oh and I found some amazing clothes in the shopping center.

People have actually gone back to playing the original SR because the MP is MUCH better. I have to admit...PTP sure was fun, but now it's gone, along with everything else that made the MP so successful.

I would rather play SR2 online co-op with a buddy than play any of SR1's multiplayer modes.

 

As for SR2's multiplayer, I don't like it because you can't access all of the map, you are restricted to like one area, and no multiplayer freeroam mode.

SR and SR 2 easily have the best and most diverseive radio stations then any ther game in the genre. That was one of the best things about SR 1 over GTA.

Now did you even read what I said? I said they had the most diversive and best. I didn't say GTA didn't. SR and SR 2 have like 16 stations with each genre getting 1-2 stations each. Not to mention when you look at song selection sR and SR 2 has much better especially compared to the crappiness that was music stations in GTA IV mainly on the rap front.

Not GTA IV I'm afraid. There is not a single song on those stations that I like. Whereas even in GTA III there was the Scarface soundtrack.

But it's just nice to hear some music I actualy know and enjoy.

I listen to both, but nope I've never noticed it to be honest. Then again I don't really watch ITV.

I checked the credits myself a long while ago and in IV it says Roman Bellic: Jason Zumwalt

and in in SR2 under something like "Radio ad voices" it has Jason Zumwalt in the list so it is in fact the voice of roman in that ad.

Got this game today for Christmas and I've been having a lot of fun with it. I love all the options you get for character customization, well besides the voices that is. So far I haven't even really been doing the missions, I've just been doing the activities. Fuzz has probably been my favorite activity so far. I don't want to open up a can of worms, but I've been having a lot more fun with this than I ever did with GTA IV.

I like SR2 as much as I like GTAIV. One game lacks what the other has and vice versa, they complete each other.

I have about 10 - 15 songs in my 'My Radio' playlist, and only

Bat Country, Take on Me, and Working For The Weekend

play. It's the same problem on Ultor - all that plays is Misery Business and some other song, the 'you want it baby i got it' song.

Can someone help me? I just got SR2 for xmas, for ps3, and when I install it, the game stops, and gives an error: Game data is corrupt. Please exit the game and delete this game data. Error: 0x80010023, My mom exchange it already and I tryed cleaning it and everything.

Sorry.. but did you try deleting all the sr2 game data?
