Okay doke felloreenoies time to show you the ultimate in PC based couch playing gaming biggrin.gif . Now this is going to leave me open to declarations that I am a "console kiddie, lazy bone idle scrounging git that hasn't seen his willy in years", but I don't care.

I present to you the oddest PC gaming setup in human history :-

I saw some benchmarks and it might not be worth $450.

Smiler-Online

I cant wait too see the decent support for a gaming controller (the 360 controller/Xinput to be more precise)

I have to admit, I love the KB and Mouse for FPS's but for driving games I'd always opt for the Xinput controller!!

If I were you I would get the ATIHD4870 it cost a lot less too and PCGAMER rated it a 94/100. I looked at some of the benchmarks aswell and it's not a whole lot slower than the GTX 280 it is a bit but for the slight performence drop and for the price it doesn't seem too bad. The GTX280 is the fastest card out there right now but the price is very high.

I have a deathadder and i wouldnt want any other mouse. i would recommend the deathadder if you have grip your mouse with the tips of your fingers, but if you grip your mouse with your whole palm.. i would say get the G5.

CPU: Intel Q6600 G0 @ 3.2ghz

MotherBoard: Asus Striker Extreme (ordered EVGA 780i FTW)

Graphics 1: 2X Nvidia 9800GTX 512mb SLI Overclocked, 740mhz overclocked

Graphics 2: Nvidia 8800GT

RAM: 4GB Geil PC2-6400 800mhz

HD: 2X 500GB WD SATA

HD: 400GB Segate SATA

HD: 300GB WD Velociraptor

DVD: Dual Sony DVD-RW

Monitor 1: Viewsonic 22" Widescreen DVI

Monitor 2: Acer 19" Widescreen DVI

Monitor 3: Viewsonic 15" DVI

Speakers: Optical to Apple Ipod Hifi

Striker extreme is in fact broken so I'm currently using an evga 680i. Last time I'm going to buy asus.

Selling the velociraptor for a samsung spinpoint 1TB as they are just as quick but are bigger.

I have the 8800GT to run the 2 other screen as you cannot use them on SLI'ed cards. It was my old card and the other screens are useful, I don't know how you survive with just one.

I just now need to buy a new sound card, I was thinking either X-FI prelude or X-FI titanium, any suggestions???

Can't wait for GTAIVfor PC..

Oh I was just given a Wii... GTAIV for Wii...

Asus P5KC

Q6600 @ 3GHZ

4GB OCZ 1000Mhz ram

820GB hard disk (320 maxtor, 500 seagate)

650W coolermaster PSU

8800GT 512mb, replacing this with 4870x2

both setups will single handedly beat the console version of the game smile.gif

I haven't actually read any hype about the game, since I did that with SA, and was a bit disappointed at first. I'm trying the other way round now, hope this works.

My sig gives you every details, the only thing I can't upgrade is the CPU, I got one of the first generation of the ASUS P5LD2 with no support for Core2Duo even if clearly stated on the box that it was supported, I did the most bios updates I could, every CPU I try now show only 1 core and I can't afford both a CPU and a new motherboard that would be better than my P5LD2.

But at most when I run the website called "Can you run it" my Prescott 3.2GHZ HT is detected and rated like a 4,82GHZ processor, so should be ok for GTA4. I'll post pictures on sunday probably.

Well, I just got a new sound system if thats what you mean. Two 1000 Watt bass speakers, and 5 speakers around my new LCD screen. I never get to use the sound system much because my Mom hates the sound. That's why I got a sweet headset.
