Okay doke felloreenoies time to show you the ultimate in PC based couch playing gaming biggrin.gif . Now this is going to leave me open to declarations that I am a "console kiddie, lazy bone idle scrounging git that hasn't seen his willy in years", but I don't care.

I present to you the oddest PC gaming setup in human history :-

http://www.charmers.adsl24.co.uk/GTAforums/my-setup2.png

Here is the view I see every waking moment biggrin.gif

http://www.charmers.adsl24.co.uk/GTAforums/my-setup.png

Now that is couch gaming at it's finest tounge.giftounge.gif The specs for the machine well :-

Intel Quad Q6600 @ 2.4ghz

3gbs of DDR2 800mhz RAM

GA-P35C-S3 (rev. 2.0) motherboard

1 x 500gb Seagate Barracuda Drive

1 x 250gb Seagate Barracuda Drive

8800gts, 320mb overclocked to 620mhz

22" Belinea Monitor @ 1680 x 1050

That is my main gaming setup and how I will be playing GTA 4 most of the time. I have a second gaming setup upstairs it's more erm "formal" if I get round to it I will post pics and specs then.

Where is your footstol?

Well I kinda lie slouched, my legs on the other bit of the settee, it really is quite comfortable and very easy to play games. If I am in the mood for a movie then the TV (the one with mythbusters on) is dual linked to my PC so I can just shove a DVD in the drive, slide down so I am lying down and watch a movie whilst keeping an eye on the net biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif Here is a picture that best illustrates it :-

Man, get your tower off your floor! The floor is dust/skin/mite/dander central. I used to keep mine right on the floor and had to clean it every time i opened the case to do something.. now that it's about 8" off the floor I've cleaned it once in the past year.

=( I want CCs GPU. lol.gif

Really mercie_blink.gif the 8800gts wasn't too bad two years ago when I got it, but now it is getting a bit boring. I have my eyes on a new HD4870 just need an excuse to buy one which is why I am running my 8800gts into the ground doing folding at home tounge.gif

I can't say I have had a major problem with it dust wise. I am reluctant to put it any higher because the DVD drive and power buttons are at just the right height for me (could I sound anymore lazy). I do keep a close eye on all my temperatures (cpu is at 25c at the moment). But thanks for the heads up.

I don't know if it'll run GTAIV, but I'll try to run it on a HP Pavillion dv2000. I don't know what are the exact specs of the system, but it has a 64MB Video Card, that is expansible to 1024MB, 3GB of RAM and a Dual-Cored processor that's about 1.4GHz. I think it can run it. smile.gif

Check my sig for my specs...

as for playing IV... well I think any vista capable system should be able to run it!!

(not those ones that can just get in vista, I mean the ones that can take full advantage of the vista glass effects/DWM)
