smokeythedemon
Guys, GTAIV's universe and our universe is different. So, mainstream music THERE is different from the mainstream HERE.. Get it?
livejoker
I left a comment about putting your music on toe Xbox 360 (if you have one) and play it while in IV. If you like to hear peds say sh*t about ratman or that bullshark stuff, don't. I'm OFFERING something, not forcing it down your throat. R.A.P= retards attempting poetry. I'll never forget that little joke. But there should be radio stations about Screamo Punk Classic Rock Hip-hop/rap With the most famous songs from that genre. Simple Screamo? Some girl said Slayer, add him in there. Redjumpsuits seem pretty screamo to me. Same goes to Punk, Classic Rock, etc. I know only about Classic Rock so don't bash. Great topic, but alot of fanboys will be here....

Hart
Everyone seems to think metal bands just play metal stuff, or thrash it out. No they do not. Metallica for example:
--Vega--
If gta iv was so modern about the music then why didn't they adda radiostation with artists like: T-pain, Lil Wayne, Usher, Baby bash, T.I, akon, Sean kingston, Chris brown? it fits perfectly with liberty city (NY)??? Probably because they all suck.

mr_bungle
yeah f*ck metal and that green day sh*t I still have to wonder how you get Green Day mixed up with metal. Metal/rock IMO are the best, Vice Rock was the best radio channel to be in a GTA. I mean, driving along a footpath mowing people down listening to Raining Blood by Slayer. Where can you go wrong? Listening to rap!

And Stink [email protected] If I ever listened to V-Rock I would ask someone to slice my head.
TMR2007
Your all pathetic; different people like different music, quit being so narrow f*cking minded. Just because you like one type means your gay or childish, how the hell does it grow the hell up for f*cks sake. OT: Yeah, some stations I like but others I dont like and the same with certain songs on them. I like Flashing Lights by Kanye but then I think its Crackhouse or something, that annoys me. Cheat
I think that Liberty City is, and so is New York, great for all types of music: Think of such areas in New York such as Bronx and Brooklyn; rap is basically born in Bronx and is also real big thing in Brooklyn Zoo, yeah, Wu-Tang bitch. But I think that all types of music fit in NY, such as rock, reggae etc. and that's why I'm glad about the radio channels of IV, but not the songs tho'. You can find all types of music pretty easily with just changing the channel.

JakeyBoi
Look, I don't understand why people can't appreciate both ends of the spectrum? For example, I love T-Pain, and I like Chris Brown and Akon, though I do prefer real rap. But I also love the most brutal of death metal: Mortician, Cannibal Corpse, Belphegor, and I love every genre in between. But for GTA IV, the soundtrack that was chosen wasn't fantastic. I mean, I can listen to it, the talk-shows are hilarious, as are the commericals, but there just wasn't any brilliant radio stations (maybe with the exception of The Journey). Although it's very expensive to get in the big artists to use their songs, R* really should have branched out to more mainstream and more well known artists, in my opinion. Some of the rap/hip-hop is awful. And LCHC is just appalling. My favourite songs in the game are the more well-known and famous ones such as Black Sabbath, Aphex Twin, R.E.M, Phillip Glass etc. Vice City soundtrack was excellent though. It's my favourite soundtrack of the GTA series.
Breaking Bohan
The music could have been better IMO. PLUS, I wish a single radio station would have more/longer songs/programs on it.
Osric
To be honest, I didn't like the IV soundtrack. I don't really like modern music, rock or rap. I am a fan of oldies, classic rock, and classic country. I even occasionally listen to old-school rap. But modern rock and hip-hop as well as heavy metal from any era just bugs me. I wished they included an oldies station with lots of music from the 60's and 70's. I mean Liberty Rock was okay, but even that wasn't as good. I mean, everyone has their opinions, and I respect that, but as for me, I pretty much like any kind of music as long as it was made before 1995. That's just me, so when I do play IV, I usually have it on a talk station.
