Breaking Bohan
I purchased IV shortly after it came out - completed the story as soon as I could - but once the story was completed, the magic was gone! No joke, I even made myself play it when the story was over (walk around and appreciate all the graphics, etc.), and that's fun for about an hour. Then I just put the game away and haven't played it in months. Even if DLC/Expansion was available for all, I don't think I'd be that excited about it, and I sure as hell wouldn't be paying for it (UNLESS they put back most of the options they removed, and added many more weapons). Anyone else feel the GTA-magic vanish around the time the storyline was over?
Capricornus
I have had GTA IV since the frst day it came out. I am still satisfied with it, but TBH, I barely play it nowadays. I play MGS 4 a lot more. GTA IV toned down a bit for me after the Storyline was done. I turned to MP shortly after I completed the game. That was excellent fun for a good while, but it's dying down as well.

TheSpankerDom
I am still quite satisfied but mostly due to the multiplayer. Nothing is more fun to me than taking the guy in 1st out in a GTA race and winning. I love it even more if he has a mic and is like F*ck No mofo
Ash_735
Well, personally I like to take GTA storylines slow, I consider it your own fault for rushing through the story as fast as you could. To me, people that do that either rush through games normally (in which case they can't call GTA4) or they wanted bragging rights for completeing it fast and come onto forums and spoil the game for people still playing the game (Like 9 out of 10 times what happened on these forums). I'm in agreement with you there. I, too, rushed to finish it - 3 times. (UN-like you - should have took my time the 1st time) Now I am on my 4th go through and am taking my tmie like R* intended. Taking the time to notice those little things I had not noticed before. Cultivating those relationships with friends. Walking and jogging more than running. Starting the ocasional fisfight with passerby. No matter how many times I pass the game, I constantly find things I did not notice before. Like the interior dome light in cars. Did not notice that one until my 2nd go round. Like the first (or one of the first) missions you do with Packie. His voice sounds like someone else did it for that mission (DURING the mission, normal before and after). Anyway - I'm still in awe...........color my crazy. The Elite Sniper
Multiplayer has me satisfied for now and even when DLC comes out I very much doubt I will make a return to single player. I hate playing ANY game single player to be honest. Online is the place to be.
MichaelCastleTT
I think the reason people find it boring now is because the story isnt REALLY finished. Niko isnt finally living happily ever after, we haven't seen Bulgarin since the exchange and if you chose revenge, Roman announces that Mallorie is pregnant shortly after the ending sequence... There is so much left to uncover.. everybody is bored because its like theyre waiting for somebody to magically phone niko and tell him theyve found bulgarin!! The DLC will spark everyone up again! Weses
I beat the game at 30 hours. Didn't get 100%, just beat the story. My stats now say that I've played the game for 90 hours. So that means, I've been playing for 60 hours just playing around. So no, I am in no way bored of the game. I don't plan on getting 100% either. If I rush the story or anything else, I know I'll get bored of it right away. The game to me is something special... it has the one thing I've always wanted in any GTA game, and that's realism. I think the game is beautiful... the gameplay is perfect to me. It's what I've always wanted. I still love it. I really think people should not rush it and just enjoy the game instead. It's not meant to be taken as if it was like Gears of War where you just do level after level and just finish the game then have nothing to do and forget about it. It's supposed to be a fun do-what-you-want game where you do what you can do in real life but aren't supposed to. So relax, go kill some homeless people, kill some cops, walk around or just discover more of the city. I really enjoy it. thecommander
I love it and still play it often. Online is awsome, and I'm still trying to get 100% (at 91 now) Beat the story twice, and got like 650 achievements. The only thing that I think is missing is one of those missions where someone is driving you and you are gunning an people chasing you. (being able to shoot 360 degrees kind of counter acts that. That's a good post actually, there is no feeling of "closure" at the end, but then again, was there ever at the end of a GTA story? My GTA4 experience has been a bit of a roller coaster ride, even without a working roller coaster! I posted this in a similar thread: A lot of people "burnout" on the game when they first get it, and inevitably it leaves them wanting to go and do something else instead. I bought a PLaystation packed with Gran Turismo 5 and GTA4 at the same time, the Gran Turismo game is still in it's foil wrapper suicidal.gif My relationship with GTA4 has gone as follows: Excitement -to- disappointment -to- Anger -to- respect. The turning point for me was when I restarted the game and just savoured it like a good wine instead of gulping it down.
fishermanGTA
I dont agree with you. I still play it most days (while playing poker) and it still feels as amazing as it did the first day. Go back and play one of the older GTAs for a day then come back to IV.
Mr. Someguy
I want a sandbox gamemode so I can pit NPC's against each other in elaborate gunbattles, assassinations, robbories, and other cool sh*t.
