okei
Why does everybody assume people in council housing are on the dole, chavs, violent criminals, asylum seekers or uneducated? We live in a council house, we're not any of the above and the neighbours are fine (apart from next door who sometimes play their music a little loud). We just can't afford to pay for a mortgage which will just increase over time for 20 or so years. okei decides to be a stereotype and booze up, do crack and mug an elderly woman Edited August 12, 2008 by okei
mark-2007
It's just another snobbish way for people to think they're better than other people.
Struff Bunstridge
Why does everybody assume people in council housing are on the dole, chavs, violent criminals, asylum seekers or uneducated? Because generally, the majority of those who live in council housing fall loosely into one of those five categories, and people feel more comfortable if they can label things. Incidentally, I rent, and could probably (if I could afford the initial deposit) afford to pay for a mortgage on the same house. Just not in the current economic climate. SHXC
I live in a council conrete jungle at the moment. There's a sh*tload of chav gangs outside but if you don't start anything with them, they won't bother you. Next door to me is a dodgy c*nt. He is constantly getting arrested, and even once down the park with my friends, he walked up to us and said if he doesn't get a cigarette, he'll break our noses . We could also see that he had a blade on him so someone coughed one up.
