In Star Junction-Times Square there are like 20 peds ?!?! That is completely annoying and it looks nothing like NYC! What do you think about that and can we send a message to R* to fix this problem for the PC version i know many of you will laugh but its and idea . Taste Of Chaos Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 This has been brought up a lot. Peds and other entitys take up massive processing power. The game lags enough as it is. On the PC version I wouldn't be suprised if there is a 'more peds' mod made...But I sure as hell won't be downloading it, on he sole basis that it'll crash the game simply because the processor wouldn't be able to take it unless you have a top of the range machine. It can never be as dense as New York because the game couldn't handle it and also for gameplay there needs to be a path you can get through and not total gridlock. I think the game often is good about spawning interesting things at the right times. I was doing a Most Wanted car chase and shot the driver, and the passenger got out on foot and ran off the street. I decided to get out too and do it as a foot chase and take him out with the pistol. Niko had a hard time keeping up and after a block or so there were suddenly lots of people on the sidewalk to push through. I thought it was great. A tour guide told me in NYC that if you were to stand in Times Square for 9 hours. The amount of people that would walk past you would be the same as the amount of people you meet throughout your lifetime. That's a lot of people. So yeah, increase peds in Star Junction please. That's pretty intense. Anyway I think the amount of peds is pretty good. There's always a large number of peds around the corner from LJ's cafe.
