angryjessman Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) Considering they would have already made a PC version to start with to make it, I hope they Add Plenty more Things, Im not impatient and Expect Rockstar To do a great brush up Job & add many more interactive things, including the missing things that were scrapped last minute; Here's some things I hope the RE-ADD, ADD or Upgrade: (Some which im sure ain't THAT hard to do) - Collectors edition of the game that inlcudes some Extra Missions (Hitman Etc) - A Extra DVD that has an Official Rockstar GTA Mod Creator (Like Oblivion) - all enterable Interiors during missions are unlocked After the missions - The Almighty Fingerless Gloves - One more Set of Weapons including Snub Nosed Revolver & a Silenced & unsilenced Beretta, Isreali Made Uzi, Spaz Shotgun OR Double Barrel Sawn Off (or Both!), Compact Ver of AK 47, Antique Rifle (No Scope), hitman style detonated land mine, compact rocket launcher or bazooka, Samurai Sword - Extra Hidden Weapons Like: NY Yankees Baseball Bat Stilleto Police Baton Throwable NY Yankees Baseball Pepper Spray Tear Gas Smoke Grenades Firemans Axe Syringe Pen Chainsaw thats signed by the Texas Chainsaw Murderer Knuckle Dusters OR knuckle rings - For realism, make all weapons purchased at an illegal place have Assassin tape (Duct Tape) on the handle (come on it's a minor Texture add) - More assorted colors for clothes at all shops, More Hats, Glasses and add Jewelry - Add more Ped types & add unique Peds like: Add a gang of Hare Krishna people & if you attack them, they either attack you with Isreali Usi or Double barrel sawn Off street perfomers Easy to spot Muggers, Car Jackers & Phsycos Police Women who get Verbally (Sexuality) assualted by Police Men I Might add more new stuff that'll be cool to see later maybe........... The only thing's the PC version will probably get is a Replay of the last 30 seconds, custom radio station for your MP3's, and this so called 'extended multiplayer.' Really i only expect more players and more gamemodes for MP, and the sweet graphical improvments liek better drawn distance (though i don't think it's need) better textures, fixed bugs, etc.. as in VC and SA. GTA 3 was 3D, GTA 4 more nicer and more detail GTA 3 was no motors and bicycles, gta 4 has it, no bicycle but no airplane. GTA Vice City, Airplane & bicycles = Next GTA = airplane The GTA after the next GTA is more bigger and has MANY options. R* is smart so people buy GTA 4 because it's upgrading. Do you think theyre trying to tick off their console fanboys which is 90% of their business? I dont think so. The only things the PC will have over the console are things the PC can do, like mouse control for the camera, mp3 station, customize controls, graphics, etc. As far as the game itself maybe MP will have a tad more but pfft, BFD. Itll be the same as the console. Then if you want more you will most likely have to buy a expansion which adds this stupid DLC that console guys will be getting. This is just going to be a straight port of the 360, all nice easy and cheap. That is the way of the world, the best we can expect is higher resolutions, better framerates and maybe slightly enhanced textures and some bonus MP content that will probably be given to the consoles at a later date. They cannot make the PC too different as Cyc2u says (btw glad you found the PC section ) it would seriously p*** off console users if the PC version was too good. Yeah yeah I know I would love it too if the PC version got the console kids choking on their retainers too but it aint gonna happen. Having said that it would be nice if Rockstar could get off it's arse and give the PC version the special edition like they did with the consoles. At the moment that is what's holding me back with pre-ordering I am waiting to see if we get a special edition and a steam edition. The PC version will be better by virtue of the fact it's on the PC (higher resolutions, better color, etc.). Obviously, anything a console can do, a PC can do better. Like most people here state, we should be "happy" the game will be released and it should benefit from PC hardware potential. If they wanted to add that extra stuff, they would have done that back then, when they (probably) decided to carve the game up to fit the masters. Why sell it for 60$ when you can cut it and sell it in episodes. It's like heroin. You want to cut it, water it down to gain some volume before you sell. Maybe they will shut my mouth and prove me wrong when they release the DLC free of charge, but nah, MS likes money and so does R*. I don't see ti happening. However, I did hope that the first DLC will get released before the PC version so they might include it the proper PC version. The fact is that regarding GTA PC gamers are not even on the back seat, we're driving back in the trailer, with the pigs. When GTA 3 was first released i though Rockstar would bring bigger things and it happened till GTA: SA and now that GTA 4 is released. I feel that thing got smaller than former GTA. That would also mean you would have to call 911 or ride to hospital to get the fracture fixed, meaning you having to take taxi cuz how do you drive with one(or both f*ckin legs) broken? Smiler-Online Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 Its annoying hearing all of these people saying that GTAIV is a small game You've gotto bare in mind that they've had to spend alot of time developing the new game engine, settling into the new engine getting the hang of the new texture formats, model formats, getting the hang of the new programming language... and that not even half of the stuff that needs to go on before they can even think of developing the game now when we see the next GTA that will be much bigger because alls thay would need to do is clear away the stuff from Liberty City, and then continue without the need to settle into the game engine again! So obviously the next GTA will be exciting still! But I've gota say, I would love if a modding team could develop Vice City on the IV engine!! I'd definately love to see the classic GTA characters on the newengine with the high res textures and high poly counts!! Especially Claude and Tommy!!
