Theres even a mission where you have buy some some If i am not wrong , You had edited version in Australia. did you got clothes shop in the end.? 1. Face it. Saints Row 2 is going to be awesome. The devs actually LISTEN for suggestions from players.....something rockstar never does When are you going to stop dictating what everyone likes/dislikes? You're not a puppeteer, you don't control people. Boy how I hope Saints Row 2 is nothing like you're hoping for. Maybe then you'll stop trying to put words in peoples' mouths. I like GTA IV, because I think it's a fantastic game. Detailed map, nice selection of side missions, great story, great main character. That's just a few reasons why I like it It seems your own sick, twisted, state of misery affects how you view other peoples' opinions. Like seriously just because you're not happy with the game, doesn't give you the right to drag everyone else down, and turn them against something they truely like. Twistie Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I'll have to admit i will probably buy Saints Row 2 for a good game but it will never replace Grand Theft Auto, at least in my heart, as the original and best free-playable crime based game. I mean Saints Row is similar but it simply doesn't that edge (that seems almost undefinable) that GTA does. I also feel that GTA4 has taken Rockstar in a new direction for the GTA series, a direction that I like, one that is much more realistic, cinematic in its style and storyline oriented, although still giving you the freedom you have always had, but maybe thats just me. I never liked San Andreas much. I think it lacked alot of the effect that GTA3 and Vice City had and while Istill played it through twice and spent well over 100 hours in game just screwing around, I found myself still switching back to Vice City for that true GTA experience. Yeah I enjoyed the first Saints Row, but it was no GTA. Maybe I'm a fanboy, but I think why I tend to always stick up for GTA IV is because I grew up playing GTA. From the PS1 days, to GTA III bringing GTA to 3D, to IV bringing us the insanely detailed LC. Saints Row simply doesn't have that nostalgic value. Sure Saints Row 2 will have more activities, but I don't think this will be enough to fill GTA's shoes. GTA IV to me is like a tribute to the classic GTAs. SR is behind the times to me. it seems something else GTA had is in saints row 2. PS. why bring saints row 2 out for the PS3 if the first one is exclusive to the 360? that's just stupid. willgtavcs Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 hopefully, saints row 2 isnt as overly, trying so hard to be gangstAAAA. as the first one was. hopfully its taken down a notch. but i love the customisation. and if you look in the gameplay trailers you can see that you can customise even your age and personality, to an extent. which is probably the difference between overly gangster and cool. The first game, City Life, sucked, but SimCity 4 was awesome, then SimCity societies came out, and it sucked, so now Cities XL is asking for suggestions from people. That game will rock. The animation on the cars sucks. You can tell in the videos, Looks like a box driving down the road... I will probably rent SR2, I found myself having to rent a lot of games before i buy them. Because i made a mistake with NCAA Football 09 (Which sucks) extremely let down with that game...I traded that game in for Metal Gear Solid....... This isn't an EA board. Ryuranger Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 (edited) Man i agree, I really do think Saints Row 2 is going to be what GTA4 should have been, It really does look like an action packed kind of game that will make the game last on for ages after the story mode is complete. GTA4 to me felt like a backtrack all of a sudden, San Andreas is possibly the best game i've ever played so far, the Story was great although starting from a little thing turned out to become bigger and bigger, you always wanted to complete the missions and do new ones to see what would happen in the story it "sucked" you in, Unlike GTA4 where it just felt like it was a bad outcome over another and you really couldn't be stuff continuing on because you knew the outcome, while that was the story side, the gameplay outside of the Story mode was a big letdown, there was jack all customization, less Vehicles and weapons and not much activity's to do, I stopped playing GTA4 when i finally got through the story mode. As for graphics doesn't really bother me personally, I find the gameplay much more important than the graphics, I mean i have way more fun playing Super Mario Bros on the NES over a game like Haze, you could have the best graphics but if people can't have fun then whats the point in playing it. Im just skeptical on the story mode, to me the first Saints Row was kinda of bland and really did feel like a Rip-off GTA, but bringing in new things to the table, I hope THQ can make the storyline much more deep to the point where you'd wanna keep playing it like in San Andreas.
