PSP memory stick cannot be read?

One of my psp memory cards cannot be read...why did this happen?

I've got the exact same problem with my 2Gig memory card .

 

My PC doesn't even read it either.

By the PSP or the PC (or other?).

 

Try going into your PSP: settings, system and then format memory stick (this will delete all saved items though).

There were a large number of fake sticks introduced to the market over the last few years...where did you buy it from?

 

If it IS faulty and not fake, they actually come with a 5 year guarantee as standard. Get in contact with Sony on 0870 240 8060 (UK Only) and ask for the relevant section.

I've formatted it many times.

 

And i think i found my problem....i bought mine from Ebay, i'm screwed.

Yo guys I got mine off ebay as well. To check if its fake go to music or photo and press triangle then information. If magicgate is unknnown then its fake like mine I can still use mine though its just happens way too often thaat when I copy something I get undeletable corrupt data and I have to reformat my stick.

What's your exact problem? If you get a blinking orange light with any memory stick, it's pretty hard to fix it. You must clean the memory stick reader.

Yea that happened with my 1gb. Corrupted data copied on my game folder. Damnit ebay.
