Help! Exporting from Sketchup to VC not working

So I finally managed to make some roads using sketch up first problem is the free trail wont let export to 3DS and 2nd one is that when I had sketch up pro I could export and everything but after I exported the 3ds to a DFF using GMAX it would get all glitchy in game. The tutorial I used was originally for San Andreas but I thought if I tweaked it a bit It could work for Vice City. Someone help me? PLZ???
