SAOverhoor - drilling assistant.

First of all, sorry for the name that's probably unpronounceable in English, in Dutch it means something like 'San Andreas knowledge/words tester'.

You can use this to learn your French words for example. You can test how much of the words you already know. Only interesting if you still go to school I think tounge.gif ... This is just a 'fun' my way of testing yourself, there are obviously more simple ways.

This picture probably explains better what this programme does than any of my words, so:

The README:

----SAOverhoor drilling assistantby JGuntherS (Jesse Slim)----You can test your knowledge of foreign words with this programme.---- How to get startedFirst, execute SAOverhoor.exe and load a new game in the game. Then, toggle the command modus by pressing F12. This will enable you toexecute commands by typing a command and pressing Return. You willneed to load a list of words (for example, the included test.oh4 inthe wordlists directory) by using the loadfile command: type in'loadfile <filename>' (for example: 'loadfile test.oh4') and hitReturn. (The file must be located in the wordlists directory). Then you can start a session by typing 'start' and hitting Return. Leave the command modus by pressing F12 and the test begins. The questionswill be posed in the box in the upper-left corner. Just shoot thebottle with the correct answer above it.---- How to obtain and use word listsThe file format of the word lists is really very simple. Just put theforeign word on a line, then hit space, type '=', hit space again andput in the native word. You can start with a comment on the firstline if you start it with a '['. The file format is modelled afterand compatible with the file format used by the Dutch drillingassistant programme 'Overhoor', for which you can download word listshere: http://www.efkasoft.com/overhoor/ohserv/ohserv.html. This sitebe of little use if you're not Dutch I think, as there are only Dutchlists there.Put all your lists in the wordlists directory.---- Other featuresAfter all the words are done, a 'minigame' will be started. If youdon't like it, you can turn it off in config.xml by changing'MiniGamesEnabled="true"' to 'MiniGamesEnabled="false"'. The minigameincluded is bit of a proof-of-concept, you can create you're own minigame too if you're familiar with C++ and SCM coding. If you'reinterested, contact me. You can unload all the loaded words by executing the command 'unloadwords'. You can load multiple word lists by executing multiple 'loadfile'commands. You cannot unload them separately though. You can reset your score by executing 'resetscore'.In-game help is available, execute 'help'.---- This should suffice I think, have fun!Oh, sorry for the name that's probably unpronounceable in English, inDutch it means something like 'San Andreas knowledge/words tester'.-- JGuntherS (Jesse Slim)

He's created it as a test basis I am guessing. Where you can hover words over objects. Could be useful as an explanation towards the player as instructions to pick up the briefcase and do this, that, etc.

Unfortunately, the text box does that anyway confused.gif

Nope, this 'mod' is about learning your tests for scool. It chooses a random question, wich you first eddited (in an ini i think) and then you neet to shoot the bottles to anwser the question (multiple anwsers).

I think the idea is great, that way you have an excuse for your parrents when your supposed to learn tounge.gif .

//Edit: You beated me with the anwser, Jesse tounge.gif .

Keep it up mate!

Nice idea for a mod... I think turning a violent and sometimes controversial video game like GTASA into an edutainment game is a rather unusual but great idea. biggrin.gif
