manofpeace
Well, since you can get gamepads for your PC, and they load faster, have higher resolutions, and can have mods, I'm gonna go with the PC option once I get a half decent one. I have it on 360 at the moment, but I want some more power.
Kyle17
I'd go with the 360 version. That way, I'm guaranteed DLC.
--Vega--
PS3. That's what I have it for now and it's extremely easy to play with the PS3 controller and everything.

Machida
Regarding consoles I actually prefer the PS3 graphic wise. Controller wise the xbox blows the PS3 out of the water. I find it difficult to controll cars with the PS3 controller. The xbox controller sits in your hand perfectly, you can turn a car on a pin point. Loading wise I have no complains about either of the consoles, both do a good job.

Slamman
I never had a choice, I knew... PS user, PS3 future user... As well as any new PS evolution that cares to remain B/C. As far as PC, the MS Xbox is close kin, so most titles will be on PC. If you don't buy a PC capable of 3D gaming, you're shooting your self in the foot

Slamman
PC. Comparing a PC version to a console version is like comparing a mini-gun to a water pistol. No contest. If you spend time with two hands on one controller, the mouse and keyboard are as foreign as you can get. I use them, but not for gaming very easily. I find it VERY hard to adapt. PS's controller only needs very minor refinement and I think that will come to be. As far as the OP's question on Radeon and ATI cards, I still would prefer to try my luck with nVidia instead, but they are fast coming in line, and the model you need to choose will be based on HD movie preferences versus gaming for the intended use, they give or take in that regard, feature and power wise. Slamman
@ Op, If you get it to play on a laptop, realize memory, CPU and graphics card are vital to what will work, then you have to consider your laptop's LCD attributes....is it XGA only or a better pixel config.? PocketRockets
I have it for 360, but wish I would have waited and gotten it for PC, even though they said it probably wasn't going to happen. I prefer consoles but I am really into 3D so it would be fun to see how mods work. With mods, the community can make IV the game it was supposed to be in the first place, imo. Und3r5c0r3
I would choose it on PC if my computer was good enough to handle the graphics. I like GTA on PC cuz of the mods people make. And the graphics of PC games are usually really nice because of better anti-aliasing and because modern computer monitors have such vibrant colors and high resolution (then again, so do modern TVs). WASD controls are about as good as console controls, so that wouldn't affect my decision too much. Also, SA-MP was awesome, so I would hope for a GTAIV-MP or something, where people could make their own awesome, fully customized servers. But a lot of the great things about PC games usually only apply to people with great PCs. So I would end up choosing between the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions, but those two versions each have their pros and cons, so it would be a tough choice. -King-Of-The-Ring-
Well i played GTA 4 on the Xbox 360 but with my constant worry for playing it to long and then the disc may get to hot and damage it or my console will go on the blink again, that kind of made the whole situation not as good as say playing it on the PS3. I have not got it for the PS3 but i wish i had as ther would have been no worries for things crashing and also i could play it for as long as i want. PC version of this i assume is great for those who have been waiting a long time for but i would never touch any PC game myself. PC gaming always seems to much of a fuss and sitting back on your couch and enjoying the game seems a much better option. But i have nothing agaisnt people doing that. If i could say any console for playing GTA i would say PS3, but with the future downloadable content, i think the xbox 360 tips the scales in their favor. I am a fan of both consoles but when it comes to the full package i think its best sticking to 360. But like i say, i would have enjoyed the experiance A LOT more on the PS3. The ps3 is just down right fun and no hassle what so ever. I think by the time that downloadable content hits, many people will be hugging onto gears of war 2 or Little Big Planet. I cannot wait for both! Edited August 12, 2008 by -King-Of-The-Ring-
livejoker
PC. Comparing a PC version to a console version is like comparing a mini-gun to a water pistol. No contest. Yeah but the PC, you can't press 3 buttons at a time or it will make that annoying sounds. Controllers you can press all the buttons at the same time. Sorry, but that's our own opinions, but showing some people have stronger pc's, they might love it more on the pc. = )No offence or anything. livejoker
I play on the 360 and play for a very long time. I don't worry about the red lights, since it already happened and I don't worry about scratching the disk. If it's too scratched to work, i'll get a new one or buy another game. I don't want it on my PC, since this PC sucks more than Pamela Anderson on the first date. Ps3? Costy. I already have a 360, plus, the DLC is coming out sometime so i'm impatient. = ) Anyway, great opinions, guys. No fanboys, I hope. I can't answer your question, thread-starter. IF I had a strong PC, I would play GTA IV on it. IF I had a Ps3, I would play on it. I have the 360 and waiting for DLC, so it's all good.
