Help adding "Read More" tags to Blogger posts

I'm at my wits end here... I've been at this for about an hour and a half trying to add "Read More" tags to my posts in Blogger, but it's not working. I've looked at the instructions on this site and followed them to the letter, but every time i try to insert the code they give i get errors and it never saves the template. I don't know what i'm doing wrong here, can anyone help?

Here's the code for my template. If anyone can add the code for the read more tags in so it actually works i'd be really greatful. Or just tell me what i'm doing wrong, cause i have no idea. Thanks.

Nevermind...five minutes after making this topic i finally figured it out. I pust the rest of the code some place the guide didn't specify. Stupid guide...
