I hate Microsoft, and I hate Rockstar for being greedy, filth-fingered money-whores and screwing half of its fanbase out of content.

 

Are Rockstar employees hungry?  Perhaps their kids are in recycled diapers and they needed that few extra dollars to get a loaf of bread to eat for the next month.

There is absolutely no justification, no acceptable excuse, for Rockstar signing off exclusive content.  I'm not the sort of fanboy who automatically screams that Microsoft taints all that it touches, but it certainly wipes a massive dirty Sanchez across Rockstar's lips... and Rockstar just smiles under it like a good little bitch.

To be fair, if you was offered not asking but offered 50 million dollars to give Xbox epic content I don't think you would say no, they could always give PS3 owners something else to make it even but who knows, but I agree Microsoft sucks they are DEF. money hungry dirty whores

are you joking? rockstar and microsoft are among the most richest companies in video games. there is no reason to say they are crap. i know they are rediculous with the prices, but thats not the topic. we keep buying the games, selling the most video games in the world, and have the most detailed games.

I'm not against exclusive content. I'm against R* (or Valve and Maxis) having exclusive content. These aren't normal cash-for-goods companies, these are people who are pushing the evolution of games design. And when you start bending to get more cash you stop pushing the evolution.

I think its funny how every time someone has a PS3 and there talking about 360 the first thing they say is the PS3 is proven to be better bla bla bla obviously if it was better it wouldn't keep getting screwed over, they lost FF to 360 DLC for both GTA IV and Fallout 3 whats next? Hell even Rock Band gets DLC every week before PS3. Sony killed Xbox with the PS2 when there was just a regular Xbox but since PS3 came out it they keep falling back and father back.

 

The only reason I "want" a PS3 is to play MGS other than that I could care less because there online sucks and I know this because my cousin has a PS3 and he don't even like it.

Lets see its slow, the setup is horrible, always connection errors GTA IV for example also GH3 I had issues with, and yea you pay 50 bucks a year which is like 4 bucks a month its really not that much seeing how there's updates everyday connections work fine and you get exclusive content, and everyone who doesn't have a PS3 buys DVDs blue ray sucks it doesn't even make that much of a difference in movies im fine with normal DVD player

well,dont you guys remember going to liberty city in san andreas for the "st-mark bistro" mission ??...it can be done!! they only have to copy/paste some SA locations polish them to IV standard and put them into missions context with limited roaming,thats all.

its not impossible its just high unlikely to happen, there DLC for xbox that's over 2 GB and I dont think it will happen but with DLC they can make anything that's less than 120 GB because that's the biggest hard drive lol

I had (have) no intention of triggering a PS3 vs. XBox fan-war. They're both great systems and they both are very advanced (they're the flag-ships of the newest generation of consoles). I'm sure that I'd have loved GTA4 on XBox as much as I do on PS3. I just wanted to point out the poor business practices of R* lately.

 

Perhaps, if I was bleeding cash, I would also get an XBox. But I'll not choose XBox over PS3, simply because of ethics.

I can't stand people that say "OMG xbox is da bomb iz da best for gamez ps3 sux!!!" and vice versa with PS3 people insulting the 360. If 360 has exclusive DLC for GTA IV, good for them. I'm still perfectly happy with my PS3 version, and I'm not going to stay up crying all night because I won't get to play a few extra missions.

That's probably because your first GTA was IV. San Andreas is classic, when it first came out it was and still is the best game ever made.

Although I'm sure we wont be returning to san andreas through DLC unless it's just one city we need to remember in the world of IV San andreas may not be 12 times Liberty or whatever it was in the world of III, each city in SA could just be half the size of liberty. I wouldnt like the download of a new city. I would like a new borough, 15 or so story missions, new vigilante missions, ambulance missions, fire missions, a new clothes store, a decent sized house and maybe the ability to hire a few people to work for you.

San Andreas was not over hyped, it had the same style of improvements GTA4 has, from one to the next, given the platforms it was on (engines)

A source close to Rockstar has told us that Microsoft is “wrong” to expect the 360 GTA IV DLC in 2008.

 

“It’ll be in January or February,” we were told today.

 

No official release date for the extra content, which is thought to be substantial, has been given as yet.

 

The content was rumoured this week to be launching in November.

 

Microsoft is currently saying the “first episodes” of the game’s DLC will ship this “autumn.”

 

Take-Two itself has officially said that the content will arrive in its first quarter of its next fiscal year, running from November 2008 to January 2009.

 

Fingers and thumbs. Peters and Pauls. Hopefully we’ll have something official soon.
