Vitale51
um they said they were goin to as i said earlier but thats possible its been done b4 putting like 2 cities in one game Oblivion theres DLC for it to go to the other places I don't know how they did it for Oblivion (because I've never played that game before), but the DLC is not going to be a city that is bigger than Liberty City. Why the hell would they make DLC that is bigger than the game itself? This is ridiculous. If the DLC is being hyped up to be as big as San Andreas, I think we can expect a hell of a lot more disappointment threads after it is released. maybe idk i hope there is they may have left a lot of room on the disk
Darrel
Firstly, Look at how detailed Liberty City is. San Andreas would have to be as detailed as that and it is MUCH bigger than Liberty City, I don't see them being able to make a whole San Andreas in a few months considering how long GTA4 took. Secondly, Why would the DLC be bigger and better than the actual game? That would be absolutely pointless. If they were going to do that they might aswell release a whole new game and make even more profit. Thirdly, What reason does Niko have to go to San Andreas? There was nothing in the story implying that he would be leaving Liberty City. These points sum it up And yeah can you really imagine Niko kicking back with the grove street boys? this isnt Saints row
Algonquin Assassin
I have no doubt that we'll see SA in the future, but not in the DLC. That plane ticket doesn't prove a god damn thing. Maybe there could be a 10+ minute segment in the DLC showing Niko's time in SA for some "unfinished business", but as for a whole city/state? No f**king way. SentinelXS
when exactly is the DLC supposed to be released? I am reserving my opinion mainly b/c I dont know what it will be. I am the kind of person that hopes for the best but expects the worst (or at least most obvious outcome) and if it turns out to be better than the worst i'm happy not dissapointed. I'm happy with the game and I think anything they decide to release as DLC will just make it that much better...no matter how small...could be some new threads or a few new rides for all I care...I'm just gonna sit back and wait to see what happens -XS

GtaRampager95
it is going to come out in november or so they say THE DLC is new missions because if they put a whole another city which connects to LC then that will take a hella long time to load that sh*t up on your HDD. So don't hope of getting a DLC with a whole another city because it isn't happening and somebody on youtube already said there won' be vice city San Andreas or London. SentinelXS
so on the topic of DLC i had a thought occur to me as i was playing the other day...with all the talk of new cities and missions i am hoping we see some added vehicles or at least some upgrades?variations of current vehicles...although there are several versions of most of the cars already so that is doubtful. the main vehicle i question and always have has been the FIB Buffalo...i took a close look at the vehicle the other night and think it has the best chance of being added later as a traffic vehicle. Its made by Bravado ...just like the Banshee and Feroci and is quite civilian for a law enforcement/govt vehicle. the lower part of the door frame has BRAVADO written on it and there is no cage seperating the front and back seats and the only police looking device inside is a CB radio on the dash that could easily be removed as well as the 4 small emergency lights...it would be nice to see it as a civilian car...maybe a R/T version as well w/ hoodscoop and rear spoiler...give it some nice wheels...that would be a sweet ride
GTAIV_Gangsta
DLC stands for Downloadable content. It´s not going to be DVD. Why would it have to fit in DVD with LC? Those XboXers who want DLC have to get HDD. It´s downloadable dude. You won´t find it in stores.Of course they can create SA as detailed as LC, but DLC won´t be that. I know what DLC stands for, but I thought that new content was saved to the game disk, like a patch or something. I didn't think they would sell it on a completely separate DvD either. I have never actually had Xbox live myself, so I didn't know that new content was saved to the hard drive. But that doesn't invalidate all of my points. Like I said, the chances of the DLC being bigger than the actual game are nonexistent. If people actually expect the DLC to be a complete, full-sized city with the amount of detail that Liberty City has, then those people will be sorely disappointed. More realistic expectations would be a few new missions, some new clothes, or maybe even a new gun or two. They might add some new land, but the chances of that new land being the size of San Andreas are, like I said, nonexistent. Anything you download patches, DLC anything is all saved to your HDD I agree I'm thinking like you said maybe some land added to LC new missions cars and weapons but that's about it unless they add new land with new activities or something like that
keithmii2
If they do add on to the current map I think it should be more of Alderney, maybe the equivalent of Atlantic City, NJ. I doubt they will add land mass to exclusive DLC, that would be wrong for PS3 users. But we can all hope that we'll get more land mass for future DLC. AC would be perfect for a Roman storyline. SLUGFly
I hate Microsoft, and I hate Rockstar for being greedy, filth-fingered money-whores and screwing half of its fanbase out of content. Are Rockstar employees hungry? Perhaps their kids are in recycled diapers and they needed that few extra dollars to get a loaf of bread to eat for the next month. Dirty whores! There is absolutely no justification, no acceptable excuse, for Rockstar signing off exclusive content. I'm not the sort of fanboy who automatically screams that Microsoft taints all that it touches, but it certainly wipes a massive dirty Sanchez across Rockstar's lips... and Rockstar just smiles under it like a good little bitch. SLUGFly
To be fair, if you was offered not asking but offered 50 million dollars to give Xbox epic ... If I had the cash-on-hand that Rockstar employees have (those specifically who would benefit from the deal), I would put my cult following and general audience far before cash. The point of my bitter rant is that they're not in need of more profit, and at that point it becomes greed. I'm totally cool with people getting rich, but they've gotta have integrity (1.0) and and an eagerness to get their brilliant creations into as many hands as possible. Instead they start playing into the whole "console wars" scene and get their fans involved, and for what? "Oh, more cashes? Right, just throw it on the pile." Sorry. I know you weren't arguing with me, but this move has bothered me since day one. See, I bought a PS3 specifically for GTA (just bought my second game at a pawnshop two days ago). I bought it a month before GTA came out, and I was debating between PS3 and XBox. I was already leaning to PS3 because I've used all PS systems at one point or another and have liked them, and I've never heard of Sony creating an Whatever-Color Thing of Death product (RROD, BSOD). But when I heard of the exclusive content thing, I made a firm decision, screw Microsoft and screw the people who pushed all acceptable limits with videogame violence and then censored their sequel. This is three times Rockstar has screwed with my desire to follow them as industry leaders. The Hot Coffee fiasco bothered me immensely! There's no denying what is in GTA (in that case SA), why the hell couldn't they just say "suck it up" when people started pointing fingers? No, instead they snivel up an apology and pay from their own pocket (as above it's the ethic not the cashes) to recall and replace all copies with an unmoddable version. Then the censorship of Manhunt 2. I don't care for graphic violence, and I only played Manhunt 1 long enough to see the kills for 2, maybe 3 weapons. (In fact, the level of violence of GTA:4 bothers me at times, but I suck it up cuz the game is 3 shades of awesome.) But in an era when a game can be brought under ban before it's even released (Bully, another brilliant move by R* - not sarcasm), the existence of Manhunt showed serious balls (or cahones depending on whether you're playing VC or VC Stories). Then they give you *ooh* crazy vision, for Manhunt 2. Cowards! Then, the exclusive content thing... That's three strikes Rockstar. You might have thought of it, in every case, simply as playing ball. But each time you've carved out parts of what made every R* fanatic love you. I'll probably still pick up every game that R* makes, at least for a while. Because I've never been outright disappointed (easily includes Warriors and Bully, as well as the GTA series back to 3). But I can't see you as artists anymore. I can't see you as industry leaders. You're just a company now. You're EA, Microsoft or Disney. We send you the cash, you give us the product. It will be to formula, it will be highly marketable, and it will not offend except where offense is acceptable. It will play ball. GTA may still be pushing innovation, but this will happen. I'll be playing something else when it does probably, and not care enough to watch Rockstar get its viking funeral. No doubt, every R* game up to 4 (and probably the next 3 or 4 before the installment goes the way of the cash-cow) will be there, but I won't be sad to see the company die. It already died for 50 million dollars (or whatever it may have been). /rant *deep breath* I'm better now... brOkeRxBoYxLC
even if we are going back to san Andreas, i personally think that Liberty City should be the main GTA franchise focus. keep upgrading, and maybe in the future, able to take plane rides to san andreas or Vice city. its a lot to ask for but its possible. im just in love with LC. it was the first major GTA game, why cant it be the main?
