Sultan RS, or a muscle car like the Stallion, Dukes or Vigero, they slide a lot because they can't put the power down properly. You can pretty much do it in any fast car though, and the Infernus has four wheel drive so you may be able to control it more easily.

Drifting is pretty cool but i don't make a point to do it, just to take corners at speed, but it is fun if you're good at it.

I always find these cars don't disappoint me:

- Futo

- Vigero

- Dukes

- Coquette

- Stallion

- Sultan (Both normal and RS)

- Turismo

- Sabre GT

- Blista Compact, but it takes some getting used to 'cos it FWD

- Faction

- Police Cruiser

Go online, find one of these cars and make your way to the airport. Speed down the runway, and try to drift round the U-Turns at the end.

Beats slowing right down and turning normal, and not having as much fun. And it looks cool.

I would say the Sultan RS.

I find that the Dukes is the best drifter. Its slow in the lower gears and has VERY bouncy suspension, so its the perfect combination. The Rancher is pleasantly surprising, too.

Drifting As An Art Is One Thing, But To Drift To Drive Is Something Different I Mean I Never Go Round A Corner All Sunday Driver Like But I Dont Go Full Blown Side Ways In A Tuned Car, If The Car Kicks Out When Im Driving So Be It, I Don't DRift Because I Want To, Its Because The Car Cant Help Itself. If He Wants To Drift, I'd Have To Say Nothing Is More Fun

Than A Boxmobile I Dare You To Keep That On Its Wheels Turning At 60mph, I Can biggrin.gif

At the above poster, do you mean a Contender (The 2-Seater pickup) or the Intruder (Infiniti-style 4-door saloon)?

The word 'Contruder' confuses the hell outta me.

"Can't put the power down properly."

What is that supposed to mean? Drifting is an art and there are a few things that make a "drift car." Here are a few examples...

1. Rear wheel drive (preferrably)

2. Has high horsepower/torque to spin the wheels

3. Stiff supension

4. Kind of tires (can't change this in game)

5. Transmission (manual is preferred, can't change this either)

I would avoid the muscle cars and go for the RS or Sentinel. There is a 2 door convertible (don't remember the name) but I'm pretty sure it's modeled off of some Mercedes. That is probably the perfect car for it.

You just gotta remember you need a rather powerful car and you also need a technique. Pulling the e-brake should be avoided in this game, I would go with feinting:

I've done some crazy drifting in GTA4, but if all you wanna do is that, go get a driving/racing simulator.

Whoosh88: The e-brake works on this game if you tap it. It only spins out if you hold it, but its quite easy to control.

I don't do much drifting other than around corners in chases because you can easily convert your momentum from one direction to another quickly. I found the police cruiser is by far the best for 90 degree turns. Alot of the other require some quick moves to make a 90 degree turn and often you end up fishtailing out of the corner slowing you down but the police cruiser just seems to make it perfectly no matter what speed you are doing. Perhaps because the stupid cops would all end up piling up each time they hit a corner otherwise.

Unlike CAPSLOCK Or Bad Puncturation,? Or Splellign, This Is A More That Just That I Can Type Like This As Fast And Faster Than Som People Can Type Normally, Its Second Nature And Its A Skill, So Even Though You Agree With What I Had To Say, F*CK OFF!!(Second Time I've Said That In Two Minutes tounge.gif )

Splellign

...

Sorry, I had to laugh.

I think the point is that there are certain conventions to written English that allows it to be read concisely, quickly, and efficiently. One of those is capitalising the first letter of every sentence. Not every word. Whereas you may find it quicker to type (that's kinda anti-logic, seeing as you have to press more keys in a certain time than a normal typist) it takes the rest of us longer to read. You are basically saying that you don't give a sh*t how easy your statements are to read, as long as it is faster for YOU. Speaks volumes.

Anyway. I'm going to challenge myself to learn the art of truck drifting. Off to the airport I go...

By "can't put the power down", i meant that the torque spins the wheels alot, like you said. Therefor all the power of the car isn't being "put down", as you are in a wheel spin, which is useful for drifting due to the lack of grip... you know? turn.gif

You can type faster by pressing the shift key before every word? That is quite a unique skill... albeit an annoying and pointless one.
