stefanakasid
What would you say are the best colour settings
Hart
On the GTA menu: Brightness and Contrast full Saturation 2 away from full. Makes it easier to see at night.
KillerKabel
Well, I think it depends on the TV you are using? I have not touched saturation or, color, but brightness is almost full.
Cr4z3y
Well I can see perfectly with default settings and at 720p but making brightness full can help
dragonrock
I usually never change game settings, but on the mission where you have to kill Dardan, I couldn't find the stairs because it was so dark.
Magic_Al
Use these settings and the lighting should be very realistic. TV settings: Brightness a little lower than factory default, contrast all the way up on CRTs, or at factory default on LCDs. You can use the THX feature of a Star Wars or Indiana Jones DVD to help with this. GTA IV video setup screen: Contrast all the way up, Brightness all the way down then up one or two steps. This is because in GTA IV, Contrast controls how much light there is, and Brightness controls how much the light blinds you. Set contrast all the way up so there is a maximum difference between light and dark. You then turn brightness down to get rid of the glare. You need a little brightness or it feels like you're wearing sunglasses all the time. Look at a lit sign at night while you set brightness because more than the lowest two settings will wash out anything with light on it. Spartacus
I always turn the saturation all the down to represent how dark and shady Liberty City is, but other than that I leave it at default.
yomomsmokes420
It depends.. For me, I'm slightly colorblind, so I gotta turn the saturation down 1-2 notches so there's more green. I hate how this damn game is so bright during the day, and so pitch black at night.
Nappy
What would you suggest as the best brightness option? Mine is default currently.

Default is the best imo. If it's a bit too bright, I'd bump contrast down one or two notches.

Realised reading this now that a few months ago when I wanted to change my settings and searched for advice it was your 12 year old comment I followed! It's very good, thanks!
