kingvercetti
Speaking of which, they can draw all the lawsuits they want and cry as long as they want...here's the deal, when you go out like this...<snip> ...people will point laugh and make jokes. Or be scarred for life. Political correctness is killing this planet, people need to stop getting so pissy over tiny things and stop being downright hypocritical by assuming that anything considered offensive by their standards is stereotyping, making them defeat their own point by claiming it to be stereotypical. Honestly, how many actual gay people do you think were offended by that advert? I would say between the region of none and one. People need to learn to ignore anything they find offensive, instead of expecting the rest of the world to bend for them ('scuse the pun). I'm sorry that doesn't make much sense, I couldn't think of a better way to word it.

Hart
Anything with Mr. T is instant win. Apart from the World of Warcraft one, even he can't make that manly. I also don't see how this is homophobic. People need to stop being oversensitive and learn to laugh at themselves. Is it me or does that look like Woody Harrelson? As I understand it, it was US human rights groups who complained about the ad after seeing it on British television. Thus preventing it from being aired and the US and causing it to be axed in the UK. Thus preventing it from being aired and the US and causing it to be axed in the UK. Source. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10...homophobia.html Quotes from some homosexuals: One wrote: 'As a (British) gay man myself, I am fed up with the ultra-politically correct stance of organisations such as yours seeking out homophobia in places where none clearly exists. 'Your entire approach actually damages the efforts of those of us who live in the real world to make any kind of headway in the fight against real homophobia - you know, the one that's responsible for people being kicked unconscious outside nightclubs, or driven to suicide through bullying.' Another said: 'I'm gay and I found the ad hilarious. If you make the connection speed walking and homosexuality then you just perpetuating the stereotypes about gay men. 'And it sad to see that gay people start to take themselves too seriously, and why do Americans feel to complain on what's is on TV on this side of the pond? 'And why people haven't anything better to do in their life than sending complaint emails?' I can guarantee all the complaint came from straight people trying to "protect" gays. Let them fight their own battles, and this obviously isnt one of them.

Mr. Someguy
All the good ads always get pulled. So all we are left with is stupid sh*tty ads that are good for nothing but bathroom breaks. I didn't think this ad was offensive at all. Maybe the commercial was right, maybe these people should man up and stop complaining.

pimp_60cent
I'm not even going to waste my time and argue with an ignorant c*nt like yourself. I´ll put this short. Today I´m starting on my biggest GTA Project ever. I have never attempted, nor even thought about doing this, but I now have the oppurtunity and I´m taking it. I will work for weeks, months, to bring you the best GTA IV Machinima movie you´ve ever seen, this I promise. I won´t spoil too much, but I will tell you this: What does machinima mean? Should I file law suit? yeaahh, enough f*cking said. Back on topic. Edited August 11, 2008 by pimp_60cent

Zyo
Straight up, Mr T is the greatest. The commercial is funny and honestly I wish there were more like it. Homophobic? How? Explain it to me. I don't get it. There is nothing homophobic about this. How is the guy in the commercial gay? because of what he wears? his hairstyle? his face? because he speedwalks? If so does this mean there are no heterosexual speedwalkers or heterosexual blond men or heterosexual men who wear shorts. Also an important issue, why does the U.K media bow to U.S lobbyists. Now the Americans can tell this British what to watch or what not to watch. It wasn't shown in the USA. Keep your whining on your own side of the Atlantic. You know what? The day this was banned was a sad day. You don't like something, don't watch it. KillerKabel
I just find it disturbing that 2 people complain, and the ad is taken off. I think the network and the two morons should just "Get some nuts." Well, it could of just been 2 people from Mars or whatever other candy bars are out there, calling in, because they didn't have enough money to book Mr. T. Mark
To be fair, it's probably helped sell Snickers more than the ad would've done on TV. Any publicity is good publicity. Controversial adverts tend to sell well if their withdrawal is well publicised. @KillerKabel: Mars group own Snickers.
Gouveia
It's not homophobic, it's one of the best god-damned ads I've ever seen. Only if ads like that were showed here. Our ads SUCKS BALLS.
Slamman
Whatever Clubber Lang sez is A-OK in my book. I saw MrT for the first time in a TV game show of some sort, likely 1980 time frame, before the A Team, I have to imagine. He was a bouncer I thought, in his early career. He can do no wrong in my eyes. God Bless Mr T.!!
