Frozen Arrow
Many of us have played SA-MP or MTA over the years and have played many different servers who have server side mods that give you an alternate experience such as, Roleplay, Stunting, random other gamemodes, ect. Can we expect the same flexibility in GTA 4 PC? Is that what they mean by the new multiplayer extensions, maybe lua, or gamemonkey for server side mods? Will we have to wait for someone to mod the game if we want custom gamemodes? Will there even be a sdk? Sorry, probably more and more threads about this, but my main concern is the multiplayer. Thanks. Edited August 10, 2008 by Frozen Arrow
killerkid
I really hope they do add scripting support, But I don't think they will.
TruXter
Actually I hope they allow us to host our own games on our own servers, but give us an official place to list our servers. on that same note I hope they include mta and sa mp servers that already exist so those people who did their work ( that I am pretty sure r* got a couple indulgent ideas from) get some credit and notoriety. thaCURSEDpie
I really hope it'll be using Steam. Probably not, but that would be great for multiplayer support. Imagine... Low gravity .
Frozen Arrow
Didn't a lot of people have trouble with SA on steam? Anyway, maybe Rockstar will give a heads up to the MTA and SA:MP teams about what to expect so they could continue work. Hopefully they do that or just include a built in scripting language that is easily used to make plugins for servers.
