SkapeGote
Should be easy enough, if people would learn not to apply the gas in a cornor, or steering while braking is not smart. They will probably tweak it for the keyboard, but it would not surprise me to see analog controls for the gamepad crew. Skape
CharmingCharlie
Not me I have been waiting for mouse and keyboard control since GTA 4 came out. I really do not understand why people have a problem driving cars with WASD. To me it works beautifully and it means I can drive using one hand and smoke a death stick in the other. I absolutely HATED driving with the joypad in the 360 version, you had to have both hands to drive and many a time I threw the joypad at the wall in frustration. At least I figured out why they switched to wireless controllers. It's so the console won't go flying when you throw the controller
j_f_mac
It's gonna be as easy as any other gta keyboard driving. Once you master it:)
SkapeGote
I am a keyboard king. Mouse + KB = *Click*sex*Click*. What I would say Charlie is that with a proper analog stick, you can do fine adjustments better. Now I have never been able to use a gamepad very well, but I bet you my Steering Wheel would rock. Nothing beats a steer wheel for a driving game. Problem with GTA is that when you have to switch it is a pain the bum Skape

You play the game how YOU want to play the game. Be it joypad. steering wheel. mouse/keyboard or even graphcis pad (if you are that way inclined) the choice is YOURS. Fnorg
sorry for being off topic... i f*cking new this!!!!! im not even happy but i will sure play it Welcome back, man. Dunno when you returned, though. I wasn't too happy, either, but my hype-o-meter went from 0.7 to 2.1. WASD > Controller SA WASD < Controller IV I had it easy driving slowly in IV with an X360 controller, somehow I don't feel it'll be equally easy with WASD. Walking with WASD will be a walk in the park (sh*tty pun intended).

freak2121
WASD for me is a bit harder than the arrow keys, maybe it's just because I grew up on racing games But for any GTA games that let you move the camera around the car is WASD for me. Girish
I hope its like San Andreas. Ditto. I heard that most of the cars in IV suffered from bad handling and cornering. Is this true? I surely wouldn't want this on PC even though the handling can most probably be modified on the PC version.

People that say such things just simply can't get over the better way they handle. It's more realistic and makes for a better experience as a whole in my opinion. It's something you have to master, in a way; once you do, it becomes second nature. As for me, I'll give it a go with the keyboard & mouse, but I'll probably op for the 360 controller for Windows eventually.

Nah I think you heard that from when IV was first released, everybody was going crazy over the realistic handling, if you have played Mafia you would know how to drive in IV. zmoonchild
The WASD configuration stinks… this is my configuration for all GTA games I’ve never liked the handling qualities when it comes to driving on San Andreas, that’s primarily because I’m a hardcore fan of the Driver Series (Driver, DRIV3R, etc.)… so I hope the driving on GTA IV is closer to Driver than San Andreas... that's just my opinion. Yes, Gamepad works better for driving, but the K/M works very well as well. Why not use Gamepad for driving and K/M for everything else? That's what i did with Andreas. It's like learning to get your drivers license, and when you get it you know you've earned it. Now it feels as easy to control as the previous instalments. And trust me, I specialize in driving games so I should know .

2pacproducer2
WASD = BEST CAR/HELI/PLANE/ON FOOT control for me, because I m always playing all the games with keyboard , and it was not a problem for me at all. Its very easy to me. But I cant imagine how I could drive with the controler, because I cant drive with it , its impossible for me

*Clutch*
wasd ftw. But anyway driving in gta is the "get used to it " thing. I played ps3 version and I cant drive at all with controller , so to me it would probably easier with keyboard.
gta-evo4
I tested the game at my local games store(PS3), and the controlls sucks with the gamepad. The driving itself is a bit hard anyway, so I hope the KB/Mouse combo improves the experience.
