Some bits of the letter are cut out due to confidentiality etc; it's fake. 1st off the only way you would get a letter like that or have any influence at all with a company is if you own STOCK. Shares equel out to a certain ammount of STOCK but you have to have more then enough SHARES that would be a decent ammount of STOCK before you would ever be able to have any direct influence at R*. 2nd there are numerous spelling and typing errors. 1st off where it says" We are writing you regarding your current shares within our company, as June and Julys uman has currently been rasied we are happy to see you still with us." Well one thing is for sure for a business like R* they seem to like run on sentences and must not know puncuation or spelling very well. There are many other errors as well and not to mention it looks extremely very fake. Get this bullsh*t outta here and if you were gullable enough to beleive this........ I just pointed out the major spelling mistakes since pointing out all the punctuation errors would mean that the entire letter would be red-faced. We'll then need to find out how many grammatically correct sentences are left in the letter.

Yes I noticed those various spelling errors, but the letter is likely from a representative at a brokerage firm on behalf of Rockstar Games, it is sloppy and unprofessional but not uncommon. If you're going to go to the effort to mockup something like this to fool people on a message-board for your own amusement you'd probably have gone over it with a fine tooth comb. Send It to Rockstar, get some confirmation.

radioman
Also, another mistake on the letter that would make me think it is fake, is it looks like somebody used white out too many times on the letter, and a real final draft of a letter (an authenic business letter at that), would not have white out used so much if at all. I mean there is a lot of stuff on that letter that they (the topic starter?) used white out on. On-topic, I don't believe there will be a SAS anyway, because for one San Andreas is on the GTA3 cannon, and Rockstar is working on the GTA4 Canon now. Also, it has been mentioned several times in the past, and is true, that the stories are a PSP/PS2 exclusive and San Andreas would not fit on a UMD disc that the PSP uses. It would fit on the DVDs that the PS2 uses, but the stories games have always come out for PSP first and then the PS2. Hope this helps.
GTA_dog
There's no way that's real. The next Grand Theft Auto is called Chinatown Wars. The letter states it says China Town Wars. It's supposed to be one word.
Sergi
The biggest thing that shows it's as fake as Pam Anderson tis is the title. How can anyone who is really in business misspell Quarter lol. Epicohnoes!
Yeah, there's no way this could be real. If it was, it must have been written by some Minimum-Wage ($7 an hour) Mexican with a poor understanding of English who mops the floors at Rockstar's Offices every day with a grim look on his face. Honestly, could R* hire people stupider than that? I mean, it is a multi-million dollar company and all, and with all the effort they put into games, you'd think they would write Buisiness Letters professionally and with no errors. The only person there who could've written that is a Mexican floor cleaner with minimal understanding of English. Besides, that letter looks photoshopped, as the Rockstar Logos look very akward. I dunno, it just looks too "straight" and "digital" to be a photocopy.

And GTA III, VC, and especially SA have made millions too. So, I say the company is more like a billionare or possibly multi-billionare company. Also, yeah either that letter is fake or they chose the most ill-grammered R* employee to write that. I'm taking it's fake as I'm sure every R* employee has to get their works and scripts proffread by other employees and a computer before it is published. You do know companies only make a margin of the revenue right? If GTA IV really costed $100,000,000 for development and marketing another $20,000,000 at leat for shipping the games and the retailers get about 45% of the income so R* would have made around $300-400 million off of GTa IV by now but then that money also goes towards maintaining the company and development so R* really would have made something like $100,000,000 of GTA IV. So no R* is not a billion dollar company. Take 2 which owns R* may be close to 1 billion but the only billion dollar comapnies in gaming is Activision/Blizzard and that's only because Vivendi SA owns the company and EA. THQ and Ubisoft may be closer to 1 billion then Take 2 though.
