Rebel
It does look like him. I just got my email saying Amazon's dispatched it. Says on my amazon account that its going to be here by the 24th, which I hope is a lie since my NFL came a day earlier than it should when it got dispatched. So is the game harder than the first or easier?

meth.
I still don't see how it's possible to own the Books spot by the elementary school. Tried it in the demo, didn't even get halfway to the amount of points required. Does it count if you just do a really f*cking long manual on top of the spot? Because there are ways to keep manuals going for infinite amounts of times (or until, you know, your thumbs get tired). Cheap way out, I know, but I suck at combos. One of the "books" has a long edge and on the one side there is a slight ramp leading up to it. If you get the timing down you can flip to grind and grind the whole ledge and you should get it easy. I'm really happy that the online sessions aren't laggy like the original. I never played it much online because of the lag but I was on for a while yesterday with no issues. SaintJimmy
Loving this game! Purposely keeping it late despite sh*tty Video Ezy late fees. My guy looks almost exactly like The Kid out of Parallel Lines. I've completed all the races...and GOD DAMN I love the mega compound. I've got the SWEETEST line that I can pull off there. Rebel
Just got the same through my door, well I lie I probably got it an hour ago, but I was asleep. Pat
I must be the only frequenter of this topic that doesn't have it. I can't even rent it right now, due to Hasting's sh*tty quality when it comes to rentals, and I can't afford to buy it. Also, owning the Books spot seems a bit easier in the full game (it required about twelve hundred points in the demo, while the full game only requires about four hundred (from what I've seen on live feeds on Justin.TV, at least)). Rebel
I still haven't done the book spot yet. Then again I only played for an hour or so since I have a headache. Since I've played it though, it just feels exactly like Skate right now. Although I did have to do a competition over thanks to my lack of skills when coming to tricks in a bowl. There's a lot to do though at the start of the game as in a lot of challenges.

Yeah I think they put up a download you can get from XBL. I honestly wouldn't pay for it since I've never really used the replay editor. Except they were pretty cool ass effects. Rhoda
All I want is a skateboarding game that takes me back to the edgy, gritty feel of Tony Hawk Underground. The sheer atmosphere of that game was incredible, especially at the beginning. I remember New Jersey, man, what a level. Anyway, before I digress even further, is Skate 2 (I refuse to use the full stop, my sense of grammar goes ape-sh*t if I attempt to put one in there) the edgy, gritty game I want to relive? Because if so, I'll get it. I don't care about any video editing malarky, I just want to play it.

Feels alot grittier than the first also (if you've ever played it that is.) It blows TH out of the goddamn skate park. I just "killed" the book spot, took a few tries but I got there. Disappointed with the graphic creator, it looks cool when you make it online but when in the game it's alot smaller and blurrier, or atleast the one I made is. Would be better if it filled the whole deck. Loving the game so far though, the school is great to skate. Haven't strayed from it yet so I'm going to explore soon. Daz
My god I cant believe how sh*t this is. Skate1, best game ever invented, and this has the sh*ttest map possible, its all sh*te. Peds and skaters still hump you to buggery and f*cking sit on all your spots you are skating, may as well just f*cking wipe your arse with griptape. Wightboy
Skate and especially Skate 2 is annoyingly biased towards goofy posture. Seriously, Black Box, in case you were too stupid, regular stance is by far more common, and so is any other body preference to the right (hands, eyes, ears). I don't understand why 95% of the fictional skaters are goofy and why your guy is goofy by default. how is it biased? if it was regular by default then I could say 'Black box is stupid tony hawk is goofy and so is paul rodriguez why is everyone so mean to goofies' cry cry cry Goofy is better anyway. i skate goofy for real and so does everyone cool
Rebel
FYI guys you can change to regular from goofy in the edit area when you go and buy new threads and stuff if you didn't know. Edit: What the f*ck is wrong with f*cking Skate Reel? Is anyone else having an issue trying to find a video they posted? I know I am, whenever I go to the Skate Reel page and click on the box where it says 'Find Video' FF decides to put up a little box saying that its never going to load. Edit: It seems to be working on IE just not FF. Here's my video I did today anyway. No idea how to get it like a youtube video to come up, so if anyone knows I'd love to know. http://skatereel.ea.com/members/1/186538001/17872.aspx Edited January 23, 2009 by $RebelG

Vanillainy
So I messed around with the create a spot thing and it's pretty awesome. Spent like 2 hours creating and getting a good score on them. I have uploaded one if anyone on 360 wants to try it out. Video: http://skatereel.ea.com/members/1/171913062/18115.aspx A bit unrealistic but whatever. Rebel
Got these two uploaded now. This one is part of the challenge that you do at that massive skate park that I think you unlocked quite far into the first skate. Don't quote me on it though. Anyway, I'm amazed at how I got so much air on the last trick.
Wightboy
Thanks for the help Rebel. Anyway, heres the Video I made using that site which I linked you to previously... Its only very short (well worth a watch) The best of my EA Skate1 Reel 1st Tricks a Double Frontflip at the area which, (yes you do unlock far into Skate1) 2nd Trick is 2 consecutive 360 flips over 2 really big gaps! (with incredibly narrow landings) in the matrix place 3rd Trick is a rocket air frontflip off the hidden freeway/motorway Edited January 23, 2009 by Wightboy
